In the last week, I've watched every Sade music video and interview I can find on Youtube. If they ever tour again I'm going
I've probably told this Frampton story before, but what the heck.
I was hot for this girl when Frampton was at his peak. I bought tickets to his outdoor concert and asked her to go. She said yes.
I was really excited about the whole thing although I could take or leave Frampton.
I called her up the night before to make arrangements to pick her up.
She told me she couldn't go, which, in hindsight, was a stellar excuse.

I've never been able to figure out where fact and fiction meet when it comes to Kiss. How much of their behavior is an act? Is any of it an act? Did it start out as an act and eventually become reality? Are they playing exaggerated versions of themselves? Anyway, whatever the answers is, Kiss is hilarious. More importantly, Kiss rocks.

Good tunes. Kinda sounds similar to something which I can't quite place. Particularly liked the first song
What was everyone's first concert? Mine was Aerosmith during the Get a Grip tour. Jackyl opened. But my second concert was the real game changer. I got to see the Ramones on their final tour. I was fourteen and working at the pool. A lifeguard girl knew I was a fan and asked me if I wanted to see them. One of the best nights of my life.
In high school, we went over to Brown to hear B.B. King and John Lee Hooker. There was a third guy, but I don't remember who it was. This was in 1971.
Written and sung by Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols. I like Never Mind the Bollocks..., but this is better than anything on that album. Reminds me of Cheap Trick.

was really surprised to learn that girl was in a kpop girl band because the video and style feels so authentic and not like the packaged and produced stuff that i'm used to seeing from kpop
honestly, if kpop starts going more in this direction i could see it becoming a much bigger thing globally

Probably borrowed the bib overalls from Lowell George.
About 10-12 years back, I turned a new to teaching and much younger than me work colleague (big Phish fan; always picking my brain for listening worthy Dead shows) on to Gentle Giant; shared with him an anecdote I read in a music magazine back in the day which articulated that Gentle Giant was the band that musicians listened to. In similar conversations, I shared, among others, Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert and (speaking of Lowell George) Little Feat.
The relationship was reciprocal; because of him I learned of Digable Planets, Kamasi Washington, Animals as Leaders and others.
The kid's name is Ian. His father named him after Ian Hunter.
As demonstrated by this thread, music must be shared.
There's a lyric pretty early on in the song that wouldn't pass current era political correctness standards...
