I don't see it on the older cops faces. But the younger ones...it's unmistakable. I can read basic human emotions. They really think something is likely to pop off. If they took a second to think they might realize we are the good guys, wanting to stop crimes against humanity. Or maybe that's what they are really afraid of, the realization of where they are fitting into the mor

I guess you are talkiing about a specific situation, but in general, I don't see much difference in the faces of the older cops and the younger cops. Both groups seem mostly bored and going through the motions of their daily lives.

In stressful situations, I definitely could believe that older cops have a higher level of emotional control. But that's not surprising. You probably would observe the same phenomenon among pro athletes, air traffic controllers, EMTs, 911 operators, etc.

Liberty is about how you are allowed to use your own body and property, not about you being allowed to use other people bodies or property.Public property isn't yours: you are a guest there, or at most a co-owner if you are part of the public owners. In a co-owned space the will of the majority of the owners is what rules and that's liberty : property rights. You aren't giving up

From a guy that said Covid vaccine and mask mandate to be present in public plans was the worst ever policies since German fascism ….

How many times you contradict yourself when it’s something u dislike is amazing .

The COVID vaccine and Mask mandates applied to private companies and private property as well ffs.

And btw I always very very clearly stated LOCKDOWNS were the worst policies in peacetime history, COVID vaccine mandates and mask mandates were nothing compared to lockdowns for me.

Mandating masks at the post office isn't a violation of the core of the constitution of most countries, it's just stupidity at play as we often see in politics.

But mandating masks in private offices and premises in general is a deep violation of property right and as such something I am completely against even if it is a lesser violation than shutting down business or making it illegal to meet other people in general (which happened in many countries)

In 1954, the US government finally outlawed the practice of allowing states to set their own racial policies for public schooling, i.e., ending school segregation. Our involvement in Korea (already a minor war in terms of US boots on the ground) had ended the year before; and the 50s were known as a time of relative peace. It took however much longer after that to get rid of all the segregated bathrooms, restaurants, etc.

But no, wonderfully brilliant point you've made, tell us more about how the practice of disallowing people to travel around in freedom and infecting the planet with a severe and contagious airborne disease is comparable or even WORSE than codified-by-law racism and segregation.

USA didn't have militarily enforced lockdowns, but yes militarily enforced lockdowns (Italy, Spain, France, some state in Australia, and other places) are a lot worse than racial segregation , like orders of magnitude worse, to begin with because a violation of fundamental rights of every single citizen is a lot worse than the violation of some rights of only a group, and because not going to school is a lot worse than going to a segregated school and so on and on.

Racism can never be as bad as fascism against the whole population, because the entirety of the population matters definitionally more than any subgroup that is only a part of the population.

A black person during a militarily enforced lockdown lives a lot WORSE than a black person in segregated Texas. His fundamental, unalienable rights are violated more with lockdowns than with segregation, by a huge margin.

Bolded is another logic fail. Imposing a massive harm on a subset of the population obviously could be worse than imposing a less significant harm on the entire population. For example, which would be worse, requiring that all people cover their heads in public, or requiring that all people shorter than 5'10 have their eyes forcibly removed?

I described the harm imposed on all as superior as well in the same post, there is no logical fail.

more harm to more people = a lot worse overall

RIP to lady eyes I guess

RIP to lady eyes I guess

evolutionarily speaking, at this point eyesight for women is probably a negative

we'd definitely have less single men if it were the case 😀

What unrealistic beauty standards would the internet mentally torture young girls with if all women were blind?

If we stick with the current theme of pushing grotesque features that no sane man finds attractive, like the giant duck lips, sunken cheeks, and hilariously awful eyebrows, my guess is they'd push girls to sound like Fran Drescher.

No he doesn't.

No, really they aren't. You need to think this one through.

i think the "we" there is mostly other women

can't think of a single man on earth who ever once praised duck lips

“SAIF Co. is a nonprofit that provides workers comp. insurance in Oregon, according to the company’s website.“

Somehow I doubt this is because of his job.

Work Comp is a bit of a racket. It's probably more or less severe based on your location, but still largely a racket.

Some guy who is mad about his $2500 payout for losing a finger might be pushed to his mental limits.

Law & Order did a show last night on a CEO of a health insurance executive getting shot . Very good

If someone can gun down a healthcare exec while they're in their Tesla Bonnie and Clyde style, they'll get a statue once the next administration takes office. If they light it on fire afterwards they might get a national holiday.

As an outside observer, I'd say your nation seemed fairly unified on the gunning down health care executives thing, but torching Teslas has caused a bit of a controversy.

Jokes aside, I don't think there is much indication as to what political leaning your next administration will have.

I could probably get them pardons from the next president if he doesn't use an auto pen.

FYI, The law and order episode was a cliffhanger on the reading of the verdict…..

Yeah, it's impossible to know what the next administration will bring right now. But I'm 100% certain that the worm will turn at some point, and all the people who love how things are being done now will be screaming about government overreach when the shoe is on the other foot.
