about 10 years ago i listened to this song on repeat nonstop
saw them in concert in beijing, was screaming 405 at the top of my lungs all night while drinking from a bottle of baileys that i smuggled in (only hard booze they had next door)
was super sad they didn't play 405, but even sadder today driving down the 405 and it didn't hit like it used to - just another song i don't care about with no substance

Unsurprisingly my Number 1 listen on Spotify this year was Slowdive. Just such a cool band that I had listened to a bunch in the 90s and then lost touch with until a few years ago. I do prefer their pure shoegazi-ness of the first record the most I think. These 2 tracks are probably my all timers from them
Second version of this song and, it's probably my favourite Christmas song, so it may not be the last.

not #1 by any means but here's a 90s hit i've been listening to a bunch which i also liked in the 90s and totally forgot about and later rediscovered
my friend played this last week and i'd never heard it before, but apparently it was quite the song back in the day
This is pretty Europe-centric (more like parts-of-Europe-centric), but in quite a few European countries this movie, and the music from it, is an absolute necessity for Christmas.
