Israel's goal is not to get rid of Gaza civilians regardless of how you spin it

there are lots of reasons for why the war is a war and NOT GENOCIDE, but one is the tendency of hamas supporters to lie about casualty numbers way over and above that which is reported by hamas itself (which is more than likely propaganda to begin with), and their general refusal to acknowledge that there is any distinction between civilian and combatant casualties
if there was an actual genocide going on they wouldn't have to lie so much!
Israel is set to annex the West Bank and steal the north of Gaza. the whole point of their existence is to expand and steal more land. maybe they dont want to get rid of all of the civilians. maybe they want to keep some cheap labor around.

right, I dont understand this game that Westerners play with denying reality. Israeli politicians, society, and media are very clear on their plans.
what are these people going to say in a few years when settlements start going up in Gaza and possibly Lebanon? I predict they will change tunes and say that Israel and the Jews deserve the land bc of the typical bullshit reasons.

There's no shot clock on the definition of genocide. This has been explained ot you many times before. Hell, even the Holocaust took more than 8 months.

hamas breaking the ceasefire on oct 7 with their rape and murder spree was the cause of the current explosion of violence in the region

history shows that you are wrong. this sort of thing has been supported for decades. its a principle of their country. similar to how slaughtering natives was/is a principle to the USA and Britain and France and the rest.

I was thinking specifically in the run up to the war.
you are right that after the initial invasion it spiked into the 70%.
but then it fell quickly too.
again, I am not going to stand up for Americans bc 55-65% support of a genocide is grotesque but its a far cry from the support in the Israeli Jewish demographic for this war.

We don't know how many civilians were killed because they count military as civilians

10% of the gazan population was crossing the border every day to work before oct 7
