One of the least compelling HOF classes I can remember. Lots of ‘great player, will probably get in one day’ but no absolute locks to be 1st ballot guys
Two of my favourite players are on here - Fred Taylor and Anquan Boldin but I can’t argue that they MUST be in the Hall.

I only glanced at it but my first thought was that I couldn’t imagine something that rates running and passing has those 3 at 5,7 and 11 and not higher

Yes I immediately went to Gates too. My sense was that the second half of his career wasn’t quite as good but looking at his stats and he held up really well until the last few years in his late 30s

I mean I get that nobody cares about kickers, but do they get little enough attention that being the all-time NFL scoring leader (and having four SB rings) wouldn't get Vinatieri in on the first ballot? I honestly don't know.

Never have a memory of Carr winning games by himself or being clutch, but I guess he is servicable. He has been a black hole of death for coaches tho. Not sure stats will ever capture that ruinous path of death. I would say he IS better than Eli though. Come on.... Eli for the hall.... No
