Another thing is that the very end sentence is EXACTLY what republicans are arguing about the “red areas” that are being heavily affected by the hurricane. They are communities that are more disadvantaged and don’t have access to the type of support that bigger cities have. This could actually be a textbook argument for supporting these towns of a few thousand people. It’s obviously WAY more utilitarian to just focus on Charlotte over some boonie town in the extremely rural areas. So republicans are making the exact argument she is but just don’t
