I'm not sure if people are saying she's unqualified. It's a pretty low bar to meet. That being said, there are tons of qualified people, which then makes you ask why her over all the other qualifieds?

Reality, facts, reason or just good plain old decency need not apply, because the goal is just one thing: Engagement. If it annoys people, good. If it is false, even better. If it makes people angry, brilliant. If it is hypocritical and easily picked apart, fantastic. Because all that will give you even more engagement. After that, the social media algorithms will take care of the rest and make sure little else is heard.
Which is how contemporary conservatism, hate influencers and social media algorithms combine to make politics very silly, and also how we end up with a GOP presidential candidate who is a walking commercial for parliamentarism who has seemingly dedicated his life to making village idiots look good.
For many it is of course born out of a desire to have something to say. It can't be easy to support Trump if you compare him to someone normal, and it certainly can't be easy if you compare him to someone impressive. And Harris career and record is impressive.

I think the most important qualification, among many, is sound moral judgement. If you hear her cackle while reminiscing about putting parents in jail for the children's truancy and don't know, without a doubt, that she's a terrible person then you aren't qualified to vote.
Aside from her unfortunate psychology, can you not discern that she is not terribly interested in things? She just wants to get some attention at a podium every once in awhile, go have some wine with her girlfriends, take a dump, and go to bed. The country will be run by people you never see whose agendas would burn in sunlight like Nasferatu.
We could find someone in most decent sized office buildings who would be far better qualified to be president, people who actually do things for others, who have common sense, intelligence, and decency. These sort of people would never do what it takes to navigate the system we have. They couldn't. This round you have to be willing to kill any number of innocent children because some fascist state you would have had to pledge your loyalty to doesn't think they were born with the right ethnicity. That is what passes for qualified now, a completely hollowed out soul.
For what it's worth, Kamala very well could've been the pick if a wide net was cast. I'm not saying she wouldn't have been or doesn't deserve to be. But when you only cast a small net your process is tarnished by woke virus.

But I'm glad we're having this discussion, because it resulted in me researching the VP selection process from 4 years ago to find out Biden was only looking at a woman VP.
