Would you play this hand differently? Hands like these confuse me because I don't really understand the strategy of playing against multiple weak opponents with a weak top pair.

I play it pretty much the same.
An alternative may be to check/call turn and check/evaluate river, or bet a blank river if turn is checked trhough.
If you check turn, the loose-passive fish bets and V2 calls, you may consider folding right there.
Two things I'm thinking about
1) In general, I'm way more passive and willing to check multi way flops especially OOP even as the preflop raiser. Its complicated and really comes down to understanding your range and others but thats a good general baseline to have.
2) I'm also thinking about how many streets of value I can gain in any situation. I don't see this hand as one i can get "three streets" of value. I'm be much more comfortable in a spot like this in winning a decent pot, but i'm not looking to get stacks in.
So if I was in this hand, I'm checking the flop. We have top pair, and backdoor flush and straight possibilities but I'm not sure what hands we are getting value from betting the flop. So by checking it enables us to now bet the turn and try to gain value from a weaker range of hands. And then I'd bet again the river. So two streets of value here would be how I'd play this spot.
Seems like you played it fine. V probably had Tx, a worse Jx, or some draw that missed. You probably won the max.
Seems okay against this player type, checking turn usually though.
I would rather check the Turn and bet the River.
When the flop comes JT4r vs 3 other players we should assume people will be calling there since it connects with them, so I would rather check instead of betting 1/4 pot.
After betting the flop and getting two calls I'm checking the turn (week players in these types of games often limp or l/c with hands like AJ, KJ, QJ, etc.).
As played, I'm also c/e'ing the river.
If we're opening J9s, I think betting this flop is standard. I'd go $35, get value from KQ, scs like 78 w/ bd, and TX hands.
Turn is a blank, so I'd lean towards a small bet, maybe 40% PSB, and also checking with some frequency.
As played, I'd X with this 1-2 street value hand. KQ isn't calling and there are times a bet is value owing ourselves.
Personally I like going 3x pre at 5/5 with my preflop range. Opening 4x probably makes the value of our marginal hands like J9s go down. Especially if there is rake.
Flop is pretty thin for multiway. You have perhaps the worst jack anyone will have, although BB might play looser and so might some really splashy recs with like J8s, but I am more worried about recs cold calling with hands like AJo, KJo, QJo. That said, there are turns that complete draws and 3 overcards, so you do get some protection from betting the flop. I do like your size being multiway. I basically simplify my mutliway flop strategy to either checking or betting a quarter pot.
Turn is okay, but I think I prefer checking turn to either bet river after turn checks through or check call turn. Bet, check, bet is a really solid line for value. And being out of position this helps you pot control.
