You actually make a fairly compelling argument here. For comparison, James Worthy is in the HOF with fewer games played, fewer PPG, and fewer career win shares.

My god

Just found out today that Glen Rice is not even in the college basketball HOF. The human race deserves to go extinct for real.

maybe he was discriminated against for being asian?

by ILOVEPOKER929

This is a ****ing scandal. Not as bad as Mark Aguirre not being in the HOF but damn close.

Just found this quote today too. Ridiculous.

"According to Basketball-Reference.com, Aguirre is the only eligible player in NBA history to average at least 20.0 points per game over the course of at least 900 regular-season contests and not end up in the Hall of Fame."

This works for Aguirre too for being half Mexican!

looks like we solved it

Do we think Demar Derozan is getting in because he meets it by a historical numbers argument.

23,582 career points.

i checked with the boys, and they're both in the streets won't forget hall of fame

depends on which race drafts him

How is Glen Rice not in the basketball hall of fame. Led Michigan to their only ncaa championship (1989). Still holds the record for most points in a single tournament 35 years later. Nobody could stop nor contain him. The most dominant tournament run ever. Then he plays a 1,000 games in the NBA, averages 18.3 points/gm on eFG% of 50.8%. 3pt contest champion plus all star

Been saying this for years. Rice is totally deserving

Sometimes I forget there are people out there as smart as me. This is refreshing.

Pacers sign Wiseman for cheap

Hopefully it wasn't much more than a happy meal, otherwise they paid too much.

Big Ten guy us growing up in late 80s and 90s I got a glimpse of him through his entire prime. He was a boss and like you said, has the accolades. Didn't that bum Laetner get in? If so, cmon...

To add to that. I was a big Mitch Richmond fan, very similar player to Rice but more of a SG. Not exactly a HOFer but he rarely gets talked about.

Couple things, Mitch Richmond is a HOF'er.

And of course Laettner is in the college HOF, but tbc he is not in the Basketball HOF (reminder there is no NBA HOF).

yeah I knew richmond was in as well

because I remember when he got in was the exact moment I stopped caring who gets in and vowed never to discuss it again

by DodgerIrish

Basketball HOF (reminder there is no NBA HOF)

And to that end, Mitch having two Olympic medals (bronze as a collegiate and gold as a pro on DT II) likely factored in.

Rice never played in the Olympics. Not that he doesn't deserve to be in. He has one more AS appearances (3) than Rodman and at one of those he MVP'd with his own mini Klay-quarter (20).

We were already long passed that imo. The whole standard is silly; NBA not having their own is bizarre.

Glen Rice was one of my fav's on NBA JAM.

For that alone he deserves to be in the HOF.

Didn't realize Laettner backdoored into the HOF cuz of the Olympics. That is bs. Obviously ncaa hof is well earned. My first Christian Laettner experience when I was 11 yrs old:

Broken YouTube Link

As far as Big Ten. I still think that 89 Illinois team is the greatest team in Big Ten history. They ran Michigan off the court both times during the regular season but tragically fell short in what I consider the greatest college basketball game ever played, the Final Four matchup vs Michigan (33 lead changes!).

Yea it's weird but it's yet another reason Aguirre should get in (I know nobody cares just saying). His college career was also elite. Was the 1980 Naismith college player of the year and he led Depaul to the final 4 which is more impressive than winning it all on a blueblood team. Sad part is Aguirre was a lock to win gold at the 1980 Olympics. Nobody is beating a team with him and Isiah on it. But ofc USA boycott ruined that opportunity.

That's really interesting.

Great contributions to the thread recently. A+ work buddy.

LeBron - “sure I’ll take less to help the team win - 1 mill less. Also a no trade clause. K thx”

It seems he didn't even take the pay cut. Went full 2 year max.

Saw they weren't getting anyone worth the paycut and said "I'll take every last dime" lol

After watching this vid I would have to agree. Hes certainly more deserving than Mitch Richmond or randoms white Celtics player from the 1960s.
