pman - I advised earlier in this thread that you should leave this thread and never return, it will only do you harm to your ego/feelings/motivation/etc.

But like all of advice given to you here, you ignored it. So at this point, it's hard to care about you/your progress/your poker game/etc. When you do not invest any time to improving, and watching you fail in glorious fashion multiple times, while also being super lucky enough to bink a nice score and then immediately lol raise your markup... yea, you are done making friends, and the few that were have all slowly turned to critics.

Seriously, never come back pman. Do your thing in your own blog thread since you like vlogging still. But your ability to receive positive reactions here is done.

Also, I can't stress this enough, but being that you're still young, please please start thinking about socking away money for retirement now before you get into your mid 30's. The power of compounding interest and capital gains can't be overstated. You DO NOT want to hit 55 or 60 and have little saved. No one wants to work until they die.

I think it's more accurate to say that people their roll their eyes at you for your lack of self-awareness.

That plus the score you binked last summer would = a legit bankroll if you were independent and took any of this seriously.

Diesel is right! Didn't you hear his diatribe about how the corporate execs are so short sighted with overtime and how if you gave overtime to good dealers like himself of course, the company would make more rake?

Forget shooting for an offensive coordinator's job. With Diesel's ingenious mind, he should just shoot for Boyd Gaming President. Diesel is in casinos almost everyday so he's amply qualified.

You dont get it he had about a +15k summer last year - youd be a fool to work after that.

The thing is he was right about a lot of what he said. bean counters see often someone who is going to do a lot less work but at the normal rate instead of the ot rate as saving money.

The funny thing is though he declares himself the best at everything including dealing after several weeks.
I mean the man is a better driver than professional race car drivers after all.

While I give him credit for actually working hard at this job he's obviously not the best or one of the best dealers after just a few weeks of dealing.

pman can’t wrap his head around how one can work hard and live a good life at the same time. Not his fault, he lives in Vegas. Working hard and partying hard are mutually exclusive in this town, or at least in the level most people are in.

Most pro’s summer is one good run away.

I donÂ’t hate you, I just donÂ’t respect you and think your actions will lead to a sad life. I normally would think itÂ’s better to avoid content from individuals I actively disdain, but you keep showing up and asking for advice. I think your story is interesting in that it opens up a classic philosophical discussion around luck. On the surface you won the lottery twice with binking a tournament right when you were about to fail out of poker and your parents buying you a condo (eliminating what is typically the highest expense for young people). However, human beings are complicated and nothing happens in a vacuum. Like most lottery winners you squander your gift(s).

Your opportunities came before you developed the skill set to take advantage of them. Now those opportunities have become a curse where they eliminated urgency from someone who clearly doesnÂ’t have the personality and self motivation to develop that skill set without outside pressure.
