I love Boski's vlogs but geez, he predictably blasts off constantly. he's one of the most well-known tourney vloggers so everyone knows him and how he plays. he's easy to play against, you just wait and fold until you get a hand and he blasts into you hoping you'll fold when you have the nuts. I cannot understand how he just punts his huge chip lead away like that. QT on a T75A board is such a waste.
He loves bragging that he makes more playing poker than he needs. Something tells me if that was true he wouldn't have decided to dress up like Aladdin and deal 50 consecutive days at Orleans.
And even if it is true, it's only because he chooses to live like a hobo. His idea of a gourmet meal is sardine slurry cooked in a rice cooker in a tiny hotel toilet. His idea of a vacation is flying to SF just to walk around public parks and playgrounds in the pouring rain. Then looking at "raw" ducks hanging upside down in a restaurant window before heading back to the airport. All to avoid paying for a hotel room for the weekend.
VegasPokerNomad/Rice/Diesel is lying to himself and to his viewers when he says he makes more money playing poker than he needs.
Poker has not paid Rice's expenses for the last two years.
I've defended diesel in this thread, I've made fun of him too. But his resistance to improving is irritating. If you enjoy playing a game isn't thinking about it and trying to improve a natural thing to do. Where's the childhood friend at? Bring big poppa back

Hes such a good fool because of how stubborn he is, but it also makes him boring. Really will be surprised if he quits dealing and goes back to playing poker “for a living”

Of course diesel doesn’t want to get good at poker, he just loves the numbers not the technique. He’s a poker player that isn’t that good and he loves numbers but isn’t that good at math.

I really don't understand why people like him and Trooper choose to live their lives publicly but then can't admit failure. There's nothing wrong with failing and then either figuring out what went wrong and fixing it to succeed or pivoting to something else which he's doing with dealing. When people point out they both make dirt playing poker and don't have what it takes to make it in poker they're "miserable" and "haters".
I'm glad for his sake he's sticking with dealing. His demeanor is night and day from a couple of months ago. he went from poverty level wages to making 4-5 times that dealing. But he still has to pretend that what he was making playing (which he wouldn't even share for over 2 years bc it was so bad) is more than enough.
The fact he has a friend who does really well at poker (who isn't even a full time poker pro) that he won't use to try and help him get better is mind boggling.
Despite his refusal to admit he can't cut it as a poker pro his actions will speak louder than words. His thinks 200 dollars is a big downswing. My guess is he sticks with dealing and plays some poker on the side. 35 an hour 0 variance or maybe 6 bucks an hour with variance. Tough choice.

it was actually pretty funny that people kept asking him for 2022 and 2023 results and he would talk in circles. then he'd randomly make a video about some trip he took to Jim's Slackjaw casino in some place nobody ever heard of 8 years ago with exact results to the minute and dollar because he had a good trip.
