Letting just enough food through to keep Gazans at the edge of famine frankly isn't much better. The math on how many calories Gazans need and how many calories have trickled in is pretty trivial and there cannot be any question that Gazans, as a group, ESPECIALLY if you think Hamas is stealing supplies, are on the edge of starvation and some are undoubtedly already starving with many more already severely malnourished.
And this level of suffering is just unnecessary and counterproductive to Israel's stated goal of eliminating Hamas.
