Busy room, progressive bad beat that when it gets close to hitting, the room is packed and it takes hours to get a seat, too many promos to keep track of, average player age of "ancient", best waitress outfits when the rodeo is in town.

There you are.

Don’t forget the nastiest chips in Vegas and they don’t stack the same.

Pman playing WSOP events like they’re Caesars 10 pm nightlies. Just pick up a playable hand or flop top pair and pile it in.

Ironic that Pman brags that he’s sober from alcohol when he wasn’t even an alcoholic yet his true addiction is gambling.

Someone point him to Gambler’s Anonymous before he goes broke again.

Lol good post. He can be both addicted to alcohol and gambling, there’s a good case for that. I’ve said he’s a gambling addict but think he’s closer to a binge drinker and binge gambler that has big mental/emotional cycles. He plays somewhat reasonable poker and then either blows up or gets impossibly sticky. He was drinking and got alcohol poisoning then he got super stoned and was talking about how much he loves edibles, like a few months after.

Casinos are some of the most miserable places you can be and they are literally designed to crush your soul and take your money.

pman has very little discipline and he just transfers his addiction from one to another…and back.

Still don’t understand why he’s in Vegas.

Because there are rubes still willing to finance it.
See also the candy salesman.

Pman will do great when he settles in and gets his grind on. The kid has heart.

I think he just needs one more coach.

I think he just needs one more coach.

Yes, that definitely could help.

Pman's better off playing craps or blackjack. His EV has to be better in the pits vs. any poker tournament

This is true for the majority of tournament players.
In the long run,
the rake/fees make nearly everyone a loser.

by Tanqueray

Still don’t understand why Pman is in Vegas.

His family doesn't want him close by, that's why.
It's worth the $40/k year to keep him far away.

Or he could skip the clout fest and enter some of the softer field tournamets at the many different poker aeries around town.

I played the $1K PLO @ the WSOP last year and busted after a few levels. Walking out of the Horseshoe I stopped at a craps table and won $2300. So can confirm craps > WSOP tournies…

That’s the thing. Pman has no interest in actually being a professional. He just wants to say he’s a professional without putting in the work studying and playing to be one.

Look at what he’s done since last year’s bink in the employee’s event which is nothing besides quitting his job. He’s only played a handful of tourneys. Played cash sparingly online and live. And that’s it. In 12 months.

He doesn’t want to be a professional. He wants to bink a bracelet and tweet at Daniel Negreanu and other actual successful players. Pman thinks he can be a good player by osmosis and hanging around Persson and Jeremiah.

It’s like he doesn’t want to progress past step one of being a pro cause if he does, he’ll fail like he did a few years ago.

You know the saying “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. Pman is on the opposite side. “You can’t miss the shot you take if you never shoot.” Can’t fail if you don’t try.

To not play WSOP field and to hunt down tourists at a 40-man daily --- is to self admit one's skill level is medicore at best.

But with this realization one can begin a new. And with proper effort can begin to dream again when the BR allows them that $1K,$5K,$10K lotto ticket.

Exceptions are "main events" where there's like a $250K GTD for a $1.1K entry at a random casino. That's basically WSOP though.

Pman is going to be awesome just give him some time. Damn you microwave generation. Pman is a slow simmer and his rise will be worth the wait.

by Tanqueray

Subsequently he went from doubling up with KK to 15bb, and busto with K2 in 12 minutes…or in 3 or 4 hands?

I’d say he should just take whatever he has budgeted for WSOP and do the D Lucky experience.

What's D Lucky?

He's waiting for a flop now. That's an improvement over last week.

It's simple. He's convinced his daddy that he's just a couple breaks away from being the next Phil Ivey. Maybe even promised some "return" on the free apartment of his, etc.

One year ago today Brettski started his channel.
One year and 196,000 subscribers later, he's back in Vegas, playing some wsop events, where it all began.
Brettski started as a poker content creator, then quickly went the Ryan DePaulo Degenerate Gambler route.
His first YouTube video is below.

I’m a fan. Hope to spot him at RW and do some degen ing

He's a good egg, but I quit watching just because those types of vids don't appeal to me. I might watch his WSOP stuff.

It appears to be as difficult to become a poker pro as it is the become a hooker.

Not very.

How long before he goes broke or finds a sugar mama?

Or way easier to be a low level poker pro. Hooker has to have multiple ads, lots of sexy clothes and the ability to screen clients. A 1-3 poker pro just needs $200 and a strong wrist for folding 498 out of 500 hands. And ultimately say “Im a pro”. Rice is prime example.

Tier matching.

A $1/3 "pro" is equivalent to a lot lizard.

Neither are slaves to fashion.

Glad to see we are back to new vlogs from our dealer hero with sufficient belt talk. It is peak Diesel with him not knowing what a dress belt is compared to a casual jeans belt.

Good work diesel, keep dealing!

Haha yeah and describing the belt as 'tall' rather than wide

Was interesting when he said thanks to the other dealers for correcting the things he did wrong. That is when a lot of us in this thread thought the wheels might come off but he seemed to be very comfortable with doing it their way rather than how he thinks it should be done. A very promising early sign that he might stick it out!

nice belt bro...
