President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I assume there’s an appeal path that ends with the Supreme Court throwing out the conviction

TRUMP finally won a popular vote 👏

They just made the most popular politician in history even MORE popular. His black and hispanic support, already at record levels for a Republican, is going to go through the roof.

You think there are people that were watching to see if he became a criminal or not, and when he did, they were like "that's my guy!"

No. It just made you feel more strongly than before, which still equals one vote. This will turn away far more people than it attracts.

Because black and Hispanic people like criminals? Wtf are you talking about?

TRUMP finally won a popular vote 👏

It’s the first criminal conviction for a former U.S. president in our nation’s history.

by Tom Ames

Is it confirmed that he was awake when the verdicts were read?

Tom delivering the lulz outside of SE

The left just crossed the rubicon of legal corruption. This will cause the biggest political boomerang backfire imaginable. We live in a banana republic.

I don't want to have to explain such an obvious fact to such low tier thinker.

Tell me with a straight face if you think black support will NOT increase with a guilty verdict...I know you don't have the balls.

makes sense that a large number of black and hispanic people would hate the criminal justice system and view it as unjust, and may therefore naturally sympathise with someone that stands to be punished by it

Soon followed by the first ever President elected as a convicted felon. Clown world.

Someone has a brain.

Appeal

meh, damage already done

a large swath of the American electorate will never vote for a convicted felon (and rightly so)

after dodging them most of his adult life, he finally had to face a jury of his peers. results were predictable considering he's a lifelong criminal

But was there any damage done? Were any of those people going to vote for him anyway?

IDK, after the last 8 years I've sort of lost faith in the ability of the US electorate to avoid doing ridiculous things. I'm not sure this moves the needle much.

Black support will NOT increase with a guilty verdict.

Hope that helped!

Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11th. They should do the patriotic thing and open up the courts and sentence him on July 4th.

And as a reminder, I have Five Points Correctional Facility as my bingo square.

Of course they are going to appeal . This case was just a kangaroo court with tons of issues to appeal

It’s a historic moment in the USA but trust the rule of law that there is a system to review this

to this day you hear misguided Americans say they like Donald for his business acumen, for being a New York titan of industry, etc.

the light may finally reach some of these politically rudderless souls... that the man is a run of the mill white-collar criminal

just another big city huckster

a felon by any other name

they won't want to hitch their wagons to such an obvious loser

I wonder if anyone can tell us with a straight face how that support is going to look after the tapes of him using the N-word while working on The Apprentice come out, though.

Black support will NOT increase with a guilty verdict.

It is an idiotic notion that black and brown people will think "He is a criminal just like me! I can finally identify with a politician!" I mean, there is mere stupidity, and then there is whatever insanity you are pushing.

Sentencing July 11 th wouldn’t be shocked if the judge throws him in jail

Right, I don't expect there's a single person who didn't assume the same. It was so blindingly obvious, most are probably assuming you raced to post that because you'll be cheering him on, which of course is why I LOLed. And you seem to be confirming that...

You must be so excited that the 10% tariffs that will help Canada so much are still on the table!

Time for Hillary to make an appearance and lead a lock him up chant.

A deluded NPC take from someone not grounded in reality and too many boosters. This "conviction" was gasoline and a match for his support. No one with a rational cell in his brain thinks this trial wasn't a complete sham and corrupt to the core. And all those people on the fence who have normal cognitive abilities see this and will vote for him.

who should the Republican party pivot to as their nominee?

Tim Scott? perhaps Ramaswamy?

You're a perfect example of leftist racism. The same people think black people aren't smart enough to acquire a driver's license. Liberal white people are sooo condescending to minorities.
