Does anyone know? Does he still play poker?
Think first time I saw a high profile crusher quit was Nebuchad. He just decided to go to the hotel business "you need to do other things". Wonder if he ever played again. Not a marathon for all.
I love poker- I could never see myself not playing a few tournaments a year even if I wanted to take a break or hiatus.
That's the difference between people who are fans of the game and others who just played for the money. The latter is true for a lot of players who started at a young age during the boom years.

Vanessa Rousso? Is she just a lawyer now? It’s crazy when you see people that had solid tourny results way back that just stop playing. I would expect people to still play but not so much so it’s crazy to see no Hendon results for her recently.
tourney players are so overrated, hendonmob is not painting an accurate picture of player's winnings in any way
some players are doing great I'm sure, but plenty who have millions in cashes are pretty broke

Thanks, searched around and couldn't find anything about hotels. Think I remember he thought about it in a poker magazine just after quitting, to start a hotel business with his brother. Apparently ended as a speculation, or of course I may mix up things.

Chatting with a dealer at Caesars a few weeks ago and he mentioned her as one of the most unpleasant “pros” to deal with.
Good for her though if she could end up cashing out her short poker success and set herself up for a nice real life career.

Im fairly sure someone like Vanessa Rousso was break even at best even back in the day. She was very attractive so got a disproportionate amount of attention (and probably very good sponsorship deals) relative to actual results. Good on her for moving on from poker and doing something else with her life instead of riding the extremely unsustainable and short term path of being an attractive female poker player.
Im not trying to rag on her or anything, she was definitely not bad, but not a crusher by any means.

Dont remember exactly what he's up to, but we played day 2 of the 10k O8 last WSOP. He was still playing very well
