Early start on my birthday trip 3/27 - 4/2

My birthday trip to Vegas is one month away, but I’m so looking forward to it I thought I’d start early.

Take it all.

Best vowel dump I ever heard of was “eulogiae” for a bingo.

CRUSH the PLO streets!!!

PE and KAE were both new to me

I'm still not sure on POO_IER - is that Pookier?

I had assumed it was poofier. Like, his hair is poofy but hers is poofier.

I took his last $315 in a triple up hand for me, but down $500 for the night. He got most of that $500 earlier when he raised, I repotted, and he flatted. I had AdAh3d4s flop came 5d7s2d, we got it all in and ran it twice. His 3779 rainbow held.

In bed by 11:00. Tomorrow will be a good day!

Not a bad little room. I love having a small kitchen. It is time for a little more bubbly, yada yada yada. Then we're off to play poker at Aria!

Is that the race track? Are you able to stay there for the F1 race?

Jesus H Christ.

If you just murdered him right then and there no court in the land would convict you.

I ****ing hate people like that.

(I may have issues)

Ugh. PLO can be brutal.

Is 'he' the big stack from the picture? Did he go on tilt to burn that down?

Some years back, I won NPR's Sunday puzzle. One of the prizes was a Scrabble game (I think the Deluxe edition).

Thanks for the TR and pics, continue having fun!

Yes, he's the big stack. I don't know if it was tilt or just stupidity, but he kept raising/calling. He ran like a god for a while, and then lost it all!

I don't know if that's part of a race track, but I don't think so. Looks more like driving school 😉 I do love all the spinning-out tire tracks on garage top -- mainly around the light posts. Looks like people are having so much fun out there.

Also really like being across from the Sphere. It has some really beautiful pictures and is fun to watch.

Got up at 8:30 this morning, so a good night's sleep. We are being lazy. Both of us had to do a little work, and unfortunately, my husband is still working, but he'll be done soon. Going for a run and to the gym (tired of being overweight and out of shape -- been an athlete all my life (stopped playing soccer at 53; started at 6) and I'm going to get my body back!), then off to the poker room. Sparrow + Wolf is this evening! Cannot wait.

Forgot to post this last night -- love these chairs outside of Aria. Sadly, my husband does not 😉

Happy Birthday?

Thank you. Yes, today is my birthday.

We went for a run just down to New York New York. My husband had never been there and I had not been there in years. We played $25 a hand pai gow. He had never played before and I had played once. He lost, but I managed to keep my $200 plus a little.

Then we sat down at roulette with $125 each. Again I got lucky and doubled up, but he lost his. $200 loss for the morning for the fun we had was worth it.

Now we are going to head to Griff's to play pool. It is a 13 minute walk to Sparrow + Wolf.

We didn't take our phones this morning, so no pictures.

Happy Birthday!

Tell Hubby that the consensus on 2+2 is that he should ship four of those chairs home to you for your birthday present!

happy b-day java!
(and nice job mark remembering it)

hope you enjoy the rest of your day, looks like you're off to a great start

wish that color scheme was on the sphere when we stayed across from it
much more enjoyable than cats selling hellmann'ss mayonnaises

Happy birthday, Mrs.Newt!

Thanks, everyone!

At Griff's pool hall. I won the first game because Pete scratched on the 8 ball. Then on the second game I scratched and hit the 8 ball in. We haven't played for real in a few years though. Had to sell a pool table when we moved a couple years ago. And his covid effects before that prevented him from playing for a while.

Possibly the worst glass of chardonnay I have ever had, not that I was expecting much. That is saying a lot, though, about how bad it actually is considering how much wine I drink.

Guessing there isn’t a huge amount of demand for chardy in pool halls

It depends. A buddy of mine has a pool hall that serves up Pappy.

a little surprising but I don’t think that disproves the previous comment.

I haven’t been in a pool hall for 30 years but it would have been at least 90% sausage in those days. None of the sausages would have ordered a white wine and most of the women in there would have been beer drinkers I’d guess

I’d guess high end bourbon indexes 90% + sausage too

Fair point. If it hadn't been for my friendship with this guy, I probably wouldn't have been in a pool hall in a while either. But they have certainly changed since I used to hang out in the damn things!

I usually drink beer when playing pool, but I didn't want to drink beer before wine although it's probably fine 😉

My husband was on fire playing pool. It was fun to see. I couldn't focus on my shot. We had a great time though. Windy walk to dinner.

Sparrow+Wolf was very good, but I don't think it was worth the price, unfortunately. Also, it was extremely disappointing to see that they charged $5 for a bottle of tap water when we were spending $500 for dinner. Quite pathetic. Servers were excellent.

I took a few pictures of food and will do a write up in the fine dining thread eventually. The best dish was the oxtail hummus appetizer.

very advanced game, would not play either of you for money

love that it's well balanced with meth, jive, poopier, and penis mixed in

had to look up a bunch of them

mahi is surprisingly not an official scrabble word

I read "POO[blank]IER" as poofier, not poopier, fwiw

Walking back from the store, saw a single women's running shoe on the ground. Reminded me of your thread and exercise program.

Thanks for the TR, keep having fun!
