He probably thought he was the favourite in that spot, so he definitely wouldn't consider that to be running good. But if he loses a buy in that's his version on running worse than anyone on the planet.

These burnt CDs in home made paper cases are some of Rice's most valuable treasures, right up there with that receipt for a hot dog from 7 years ago.
If in a decently busy room anyone can sit down at a table, and eventually make their game the best in the room. I consider rice a friend. I absolutely do not doubt his dividend portfolio numbers. I absolutely believe he -- voluntarily -- plays on an exceedingly short roll. And that this, along with the mindset that accompanies doing so does non-negligibly reduce his winrate. I

Dude, ive read a bunch of your posts. You should start a podcast about trying to get out of the poker life/ get your **** together where you just talk about the grind, the life etc. I am a big fan of DGAF's sessions and I recognized pretty early on he had a story to tell way before his pod blew up.I feel the same about you and I would def hype it to the other members of the DG

I've always liked rice. It's the whole reason I get a bit flustered at his refusal to take some of the good advice in this thread. I want the guy to succeed. I do laugh at some of the posts making fun of him, like his laundry expenses, and over explaining how to put air in tires, pointing out what a helicopter is. But I strongly disagree with the posts that make him seem like some kind of douchebag. The other popular vlogger in this thread seems much douchier than rice.

Good post. I have played with both numerous times. Little Timmy is a way douchier person than El Rice. Ones worship of the other is bizarre. Rice is smarter, kinder and a better player than Timmy. Is he quirky…yes. Great poker player…no.

He's not even 40, right? I'm a big fat slob now, but in my mid 30's I wasn't even 200 pounds.
He didn't talk about having a good diet. He talked about quantity of food and eating smaller meals. While I do think that's good, he's missing the bigger thing which is QUALITY of food. He's not going to talk about that part cause we all see what he eats.

Cause they're the least rolled. Losing 300 in a session for Rice is like 3 months of Food and Laundry expenses
This is definitely true (them being the least rolled) but I think another reason is they have a poor understanding of poker and variance.
Bike King and Trooper act like bad beats aren’t supposed to happen. If they didn’t get all those unfair bad beats, they would be the winners they are supposed to be.
They don’t understand why they get bad beats so it tilts them even more and it feels so unfair to them. They are the unluckiest players ever. No wonder why they get so upset and go on tilt.

While seeing how he has to live to survive at 1-3 NL in Vegas is appealing for potential pros or grinders, the bottom line is most important.
It's pretty amazing how he shows monthly expenses and year to year expenses but the most important stat for someone playing for a living is how much did you make and is it consistent.
