I also use a Google docs spreadsheet. I just text myself my buy in, cash out, and hours spent, the transfer to spreadsheet later. Gives you the option to visualize the data in different ways and it is free. If you have ever worked with spreadsheets it is really simple. Can even be done from your phone.

In-game, I track buy-in, cash out, and session time in Evernote, and also record particular hands.

At home, I transfer the info to a spreadsheet. I use LibreOffice.

If you're going to use Google Sheets, you can get an app for your phone and input the information directly.

I use an app called poker bankroll tracker. There is a free version in the app store.

you can try the free web app I've build fromfish.com

I never understood why you would need an app? (But that doesn't mean there isn't a good reason.) I'm writing down hands in my phone's regular notepad, and at home I use a spreadsheet for bankroll stuff, and atom with a custom poker grammar for hand reviews.
