Omaha Journey - Hands for review - Journey to 100k

Hello everyone, my name is Dorin, I am starting this to keep track of my evolution.
I am playing omaha for almost 2 years now. I was looking for a way to keep track easier of the hands I am playing and getting feedback on and reminded myself that there are forums for this and here I am, making my first post to create this thread.
So let's get to it.
Will keep track of my BR here as well as posting 2hands/day. Will be focusing on BB vs BTN/CO - given the opportunity to lead, did we take it or not and how to improve in doing this.
I played Holdem before this and leading/donking was weak(thought so) and now I am working on changing this in my mind to be able to take advantage of what leading comes with.
BR = 3900

BTN wins 357.42 BB
Rake paid 6 BB

Btn stats - Vpip 49/PFR 27 - fold vs donk 60%(3/5)
Plotrainer that I use to check the GTO play would complete this 16%of the time so I think calling here with initial raiser's vpip 86/pfr 25 co 45vpip/7pfr and BTN should be profitable play.
Q1. Preflop play?
A1. I think it is fine to call here having the possibility to flop the nut flush. Not a great hand over all though.
Q2. Postflop play?
A2. I think this is a spot where we do want to lead as it is a mwy spot and it might go x through.
More so, by leading here we put opps into a difficult spot as they will have other opponents left to act after on this dynamic board.
Looking back I think I would prefer a full sized pot bet to get max value and max foldEQ.
Turn play - 8 does not change much as the FD did not get there and did not complete the 45 for str8 draw or gtsd if btn had any so I think it is fine to bet here again and I think betting big is the way as I want to lower the SPR to be able to get the money in on the river if we dodge a club.
River - I would have liked to just jam here as when getting raised, even for this good of a price, I don't think we are good ever. More so when I see opp's river stats and he fold 2/2 100% vs cb and 89% 8/9 to bet.
Before betting river I would have liked to ask myself - is there any worst had that will call another bet or is there any hand that, if x to, would turn into a bluff? - I don't think opp will turn hand into bluff that often, he makes a bet 40% of the time on river 12/30 but he might turn some FD some of the time so there would be some incentive to consider x. As for getting called by worst, I guess he could call with some K8xx/K9xx but not sure if he would call a pot size bet with those hands so I think the best line would have been to make a 1/2 bet on river or less and be able to fold vs his raise jam as main draw busted, we have the btm set and there are not that many strong 2p that he might call us down with.

Q1. Preflop play?
A1. GTO play would be to 3b this hand and all suits except - AJT9r, ts to J, monotone and AJT9ss to T. This was interesting to see and think of how the hand would have played.
If we make the 3b:

  • Scenario 1 # we get called and have initiative on flop which would have been great more so on this specific flop
  • Scenario 2# we get 4b and we have easy fold with this hand. GTO play - we fold all ts even to A, we call ds ones and the ones ss to A and can think to 5b 4% of the time the ATssJ9ss

Q2. Postflop play?
A2. I would have preferred scenario #1 that is above and going for 2/3 cb/pot turn as I want to have a big enough SPR to easy jam river.
As played I think this is a spot where I want to lead 100% of the time as I have the nuts and there are hands BTN will call with that we loose value by x and more so we give him possibility to realize his EQ IP without putting him under pressure nor making him do a mistake.
Turn - again I want to make a full size bet as I missed betting flop and there is now str8 possible that he might have and call with as well as FD.
River - bet is fine, but when we get raised I do think we have to lay the hand as there is only 77 that we beat - and get beat by JJ, KT, KK. Stake is just 100plo so I don't think there is that much bluffing at these stakes + we have just 21 hands on BTN so we should just give him respect and fold to wait for another day.

Conclusion:
BB vs BTN we 3b 9.5% of hands, call 27.4% and fold 63.1% if we play GTO. Even so, playing vs wider ranges than GTO we should consider 3betting this hand as there is much more value in doing this rather than just calling here.
All AJT9ts, ds and ss to A are 3b BB vs BTN, all others are just call, even the mono is call!!! vs CO we 3b ds and ss to A and call all the rest and CO open BTN call - BB 3b ds and ss to A, fold rainbow and calls the rest of combos
