Caesars Virginia
Temporary casino opens May 15, 2023. Will it have poker?
Went back this past Saturday.
Table service was marginally better, maybe 30 minute wait for drinks. Game was still super soft. Completely unsustainable but I'm averaging $75+/hr at 1/3 lol. One guy sat down with $30 who had clearly never played at a casino before and not even sure he had ever played poker.
They are now 24hrs over the weekend but dealers said it was pretty dead in the mornings.
Was told they are going to start doing high hand promos on the weekends next month.
Dealer also said they are going to start tournaments next month as well, including sit n' gos? Not sure how that will work since the room is so small, but that's what he said.
Just going to keep this updated since I've been back a few times.
2/5 is often the biggest game running, with 'interest' for bigger games. The exceptions are the special games, like the 5/5 PLO and such.
Still no indication they will start tournaments any time soon. The high hand is on every day but Saturday I think. Doesn't seem to have had much impact on the room.
It always feels kind of quiet/slow even when there are a bunch of tables. I've played around 10 sessions now and I've never had to wait for a seat.
Play is still super soft, though I both punted off a few buy ins and ran bad the past 2 sessions. First session I ran into it but still could have easily folded/saved a bunch on the river each time.
Whatever this isn't about my trip lol
I'd still recommend it. Table service is still mixed but has on average been much better.
I've been told tournaments start next week.
Anyone have any insight into why I can't get a cheap/free room as Diamond status? Every other Caesar's property in existence is comped for me. Seems odd.
Any news about the tournaments? I need to hit Danville sometime next week to redeem freeplay, and I’d love to play one if they’re running.

From Bravo. Speaking to dealers this past weekend, they said something like 75-100 players entered and the final table chopped both times. But they weren't there I don't think, so just what they heard from others not totally confirmed.
Do the $250 buy in weekday tournaments typically get good numbers? Will be in NC next week for work and wondering if it’s worth the trek on Monday night.

No daily tournaments June 24-28 due to the $450 multi flight Battle for the Chalice
Tournament.
I try to look on Bravo to see how many runners the dailies get. Some days the dailies donβt even show up on Bravo, but when they do it looks like they get about 20-30 runners. I asked them to please post the results to Hendon Mob, but was told they would not. I donβt understand that decision, no reason they canβt send an email with the results to Hendon Mob.
