I don't think CN is trying to purge the forum of conservatives. If that were true, I doubt she would have graciously allowed me to return to this forum after my prior account got permed.

Yes and no. In the quote I posted above, you were not talking about what you had personally done, and I didn't mean to suggest that you were. You were talking about how we should expect billionaires -- that is, people with access to nearly all things at nearly any time -- to behave, with the implication being that most people would behave that way if they had the option to do so.

The rules should be simple do not personally insult someone, disparage a certain group and if you do not like a posters politics debate them or ignore them

What I believe is out of line doesn't really matter. We mostly have the free-for-all forum that the majority claimed that they wanted, just as we have the free-for-all national politics that the majority seems to crave.
Because we have mostly a free-for-all, the idiocy sometimes reaches such a peak that a moderator, usually CN, gets frustrated and bans several people in a manner of minutes. The bans seem to span the political spectrum. Sometimes it's conservatives like mongidig, lagtight, or juan. Sometimes it is liberals or leftists like SRM, BobtheSlob, or Karl. Sometimes it is a mix.
Why is it only the heroic warrior right wing that whine about their short bans?
I got banned for saying d2's head looks like a shaved [REDACTED], but I got over it eventually.

We condemned promiscuity historically for a reason.
For reasons of inheritance on the whole, though also for other reasons (playing around with people, using people as mere instruments, all of which is obviously immoral in normal social terms). But that doesn't have anything to do with this debate, since pregnancy can easily arise from non-promiscuous behaviour. There is no point trying to flog the dead horse of 'women must be kept under control' unless you're willing to fly off and join the Taliban, who of course will immediately slit your infidel throat.
