but i know a few online pros who live in vegas and never play live
they are good enough to win online and it feeds the lifestyle they prefer - and it's easier to grind out more volume to overcome the much stronger fields
but obviously pman should be playing live (if at all)

Yeah,i expect Pmans willingness to "grind" will drop significantly if he keeps losing on the staking deal.
One of his primary motivations to play is the hope of instantly going on a heater. When that doesent happen the excuses on why he isnt playing will likely just keep coming. He is a degen gambler at heart,not a pokerplayer.
And we all know his so called work ethic,and how quickly the excuses come by.

when I was there last year the two dealers at the PH table were so bad and so slow I tilted and left pretty early. as they say, in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
I was there for a week last year. He's not as horrible as you guys make him out to be but he exaggerates or maybe he is so delusional that he actually believes it. There are some really bad dealers at PH but theres no way hes double the speed. Also compared to dealers at top places like Bellago and Wynn, of course he sucks.
There's a dealer at Bellagio that makes his own rake. I am not exaggerating that it's like a Bentley conpared to Rice's $500 buy here pay here POS. Legitimately though, the guy could sell this as a top of the line dealer rake. One ex dealer player was trying to argue with the guy that he would he faster without the rake and the dealer said he's tried it and hes way faster with the rake. I believe it.
He uses the rake to only grab stuff that is out of reach and his motion is precise and fast. Sometimes it is for sure faster than if he bent his back and used his hands
Rice's rake slows him down and he uses it for stuff he could easily reach and be faster.
There were several dealers in PH that misread boards multiple times. Ill give rice credit for being able to read boards as he's been a poker player. Here's a funny story. Theres this obvious board where this lady's ace high won. I forgot the exact hand but everyone was likje WTF, she won as the dealer tried pushing the pot to this guy. I think maybe he had ace high also but with a low kicker and no two pair on the board. Whatever it was, in no way should anyone have trouble readng this board. The dealer paused for a few second when several players including me were like "Woah, he lost. She won the pot!". This older lady (maybe late 50s) had been talkative and friendly to everyone but as the dealer was finally pushing the pot to her finally, she said "Give me my pot, bitch!". I even asked the guy next to me if I heard that right and he said he was wondering the same thing.

The real question is, would Rice get the reference? We know he prefers King of Queens to any other series out there, whether network TV, cable, streaming etc.
ETA, someone mentioned awhile back on this thread that Rice uses the rake not only for chips, but for discards as well.
I can confirm that he does use the rake for both. Most of the time, or nearly all of the time, using the rake slows him down, unlike the Bellagio dealer I described in my post. Rice just doesn't want to lean over (lazy) or physically can't (his back will hurt doing it all day).
The only way this slob gets down to 228 if he has some sort of illness (likely caused from one of his EDR record setting performances) that leaves him hospitalized on a liquid diet for at least a month.
He is 5 foot 6 inches and fat and has short arms, he has no chance to pull the bets in without a rake or getting up each time. You would think he would at least invest in a $20 one or whatever they cost on amazon rather than some homemade rake with tape.

Point is that in one of his recent Mean, Stupid Wrong videos he claimed he only smokes 10 cigars a year. I think we can now safely say with 100% certainty that Rice will just make up any crap and say it if he thinks it serves his purpose.
Also in today's video Rice admits that he will only be playing poker from now on for status. Like we all didn't know that one already. It's been his only reason to play for the last few years now.

Yeah it's ironic but both the guys I knew like this were problem gamblers. They would blow thousands playing tables/slots/poker etc but they were the most frugal OMCs when it came to spending money on literally anything else, including their own health and wellbeing. Even when they would be cashed up from a good run at the casino they still wouldn't spend a cent of it. So eventually all the money went straight back to the casino sooner or later.

So I just wanted to add to my experience being dealt by this "Rice" guy. I actually had him as a dealer on at one of my sessions at PH. Yes, that rake thing he uses looks like something that my 5 year old made as a project in school, its the nut low of poker rakes. He did deal slow, but he wasn't the slowest. He didn't really make any mistakes, he was not real talkative and looked like he hadn't showered in days. It's obvious he doesn't utilize an iron, that's for sure.
The one thing that was hilarious about this session was the drunk guy in seat one kept making faces whenever "Rice" would deal a new hard, it was almost a face of disgust. So when Rice left the table, the drunk guy stands up and says "yes, I've been drinking and I may or may not comprehend much right now, but one thing I do know for a fact is this that last dealer (referring to Rice) smelled like bologna and feet, and I feel sick from it". The whole table laughs out loud. Then the guy precceds to run and throw up in a trash can. I do have to say that Rice did look pretty rough that night so I'm not sure if he keeps tabs on his hygiene or not.

Absolutely walking is very good for you,especially if you walk at a decent pace with an incline. Burns fat like crazy.
My point is that slow strolling around on flat ground like Rice does isnt really exercising,at least not regarding to getting the pulse going or even being close to what kind of activity he needs as being significantly overweight.

To non APs, AP plays sound like brain surgery. Blackjack has been solved for 60 years and still probably 99 percent of players still don't even play basic strategy. They think card counting is super complex when it's low level math. The hard part is getting away with it and dealing with the brutal swings which most people can't handle.
There are also many different layers to APs.
Someone like James Grosjean is an absolute genius.
