Wow, what happened in 2020? I know we were shut down for a few months but $8,415 in the red? Ouch!

Hard to pick up on those sure-fire live read tells when everyone is masked up.

Heheh.

His piss poor results are not surprising. Small winner to break even makes perfect sense.
Games get tighter, rake went up and his game stayed stagnant.

If they had the same take his first few years as they do now he would have broke even those years also.

Year by yea rtotals in cash games: 2014: 5,4552015: 6,7142016: 3,5852017: 8,8562018: -2,2562019: 2,1662020: -8,4152021: 3,7682022: 5,4472023: -3,3912024: 347These are all from Las Vegas. The tight ass, conservative players stayed away that year. You were left with a greater % of action players in games. Trooper was probably put into more spots he was uncomfortable with and it led to him making more mistakes. Just my theory.

The Trooper is NOT a losing 1/3 player he's up over 20K since moving to Vegas get your facts straight.

“Is a losing player”. Using the present tense is intentional, it doesn’t matter how much he made in 2017. I’m talking about Trooper in 2025 against 2025 opponents. I’m not saying he is a whale and dumping in 1/3 games, he’s just not good enough to beat the rake. Even a small winner doesn’t get it done as hitting a positive expected roi in the main event requires a higher level of skill than beating live 1/3.

Trooper is one of the only guys I would Xbook in the main. For most people I couldn’t afford the payout for a really deep run, but Trooper is actually drawing dead on even making the final table. His style literally can’t win.

Plus, the games were 5 and 6 handed max.

No prob. Yes Carl staked trooper early in the vlog, I believe he did pay him back based on what he said in vlogs but obviously I have no idea Trooper is up more than this because he won some money playing tournys where he had all of himself, the one bink during the wsop circuit at horseshoe, and the dailies he played, while being staked in early tournys he didn’t have to pay ba

From my small observations of his game, it's better suited to 2/5. He thinks he's always being bluffed, and he often out-levels himself.

So, who's the vlogger Tim refers to that made fun of him ? Link ?

And you guys better be careful, Tim says his troops are ratting out the people who diss him !

Ryan DePaulo. Check comments from a couple of days ago in this thread, he said some pretty funny and accurate stuff about Trooper.

I saw something on Twitter about RDP getting a strike on YouTube, and it seems like the video where he talked about Trooper & other vloggers have been deleted:

Looks like stealing other creator's content gets a strike? That's sucks, because I like his sense of humor. Bring on the daily WSOP vlogs!

Katy's preggers, too (due in Aug I think he said). So, life as he knows it is about to change radically. Let's hope he documents the carnage with the same keen sense of humor (that's sarcasm, son)

With the stimulus money going out, it would make sense for more action players to be out there. Plus the blinds would really go quick. Trooper probably got grinded down, lost it and tried to make plays that didn’t go his way.

I miss those covid 7 handed games so much. Sure the masks and plexiglass sucked but so did the players.

Ok so going by recent results he didn't play at all for a year and a half up until last month and he is now up since returning. Obviously too small of a sample to draw any sweeping conclusions, but there isn't any evidence that he's now a losing player and based on his hand breakdowns / smaller bankroll he seems much more focused on making good decisions. Kicking himself for not getting away from those trip 6s and then going to the Venetian and folding top set on the flop. Is the old Trooper making that fold? Is anyone in this thread even making that fold?

That ability alone to get away from big hands is so important at the main event and why I said his patience is why I think he's always a good bet to make a run. How many times do we see players bust early when they stay married to a big hand and call everything off when they could just fold and still have 250 bbs? Thats not going to be the trooper.

he broke even at 1/2 nl for 5 years. he sucks.

All his patience is gonna do is put him in a position to squeak into a min cash if he runs super good. He's never making a run.

Tim's doing the ratting not the troops

Now he says if he wasn't making YT videos he would play 12 hours of poker a day. Yea ok, lol.

Trooper is out after dark outside NYNY and he spots a senior Nomad dragging a Nomadic pack and contemplates if that will be Trooper's future.

Sad violin and piano music plays in the background as the video ends.

If Trooper can get back to Diamond tier level needed once he gets his retirement, he should be able to make it as a senior Nomad if LT is gone by then.

Trooper once again today lies and says hes played poker for a living, he has never played poker for a living. He has saved up money and gone without work while playing poker for periods of times, probably months at a time like bike king. He has never in the last 12 years made enough money to play poker for a living. Gotta start the subtle hints that hes a great player hampered by his vlog now in order to scam his audience into staking him in wsop tournies in a couple weeks.

Its so weird how all of these other vloggers have managed to play a bunch of poker, have meteoric rises through the stakes based on mostly vlog money lets be honest, but still. All the while trooper who has the most simple and easy vlog to produce, which is the same almost every single time for a decade, cant find time to really put the grind in! Unbelievably bad luck for trooper, who normally does everything right!

Twatts & Fat Zach are the ultimate Wack Pack

Don't they provide restrooms for that squat?

Going back to what was said before, i do believe he paid back like 3500 or something in make up to carl according to my notes here from watching his vlog but obviously dont know. That was in 2015.

Also though, he wouldve made about 1500 less in 2015 because he was being staked and assuming a 50/50 split, so take that into consideration too. I believe he said in a vlog he paid whoever was staking him, people assume carl, back the make up he owed

He promised a live vlog from the delivery room.

In Las Vegas, the average salary in May 2024 was $28.43 per hour.

The 2025 federal poverty guideline for the 48 contiguous states, including Las Vegas, Nevada, is as follows: a single person has a poverty level of $15,650 per year.

Let's make the cutoff for a "poker pro" exceeding the poverty level.
