I know you want to just attack things out of context but the previous time I played I won +$1140 in three hours. I put that in the same post.

my last short trip in Vegas I had two +$700 sessions

my worst sessions ever was -$720 at Venetian, and that was right before (same day) final tabling a Wynn tourney for $6600

Not attacking anything out of context. Was going off what you said. Anyone that claims to never lose big over a reliable sample is either a massive nit (not a good player) or a liar.

I am not a professional gambler or pro poker player. I have 3 kids and a wife who don't like me playing poker. I play about once a month here and 2-4 times in Vegas a year. I have a small bankroll for playing so when I lose 300-500 it really hurts. but I game select as well as I can, pick my spots and read my opponents well and have a stop-loss within my budget that prevents massive downswings. fortunately I have been good enough the last couple years to keep my play bankroll growing.

my whole point is, the goal of the game (as a pro) is to win so having a bunch of -$400 days is not something to be proud of. making fun of somebody for not having many -$400 sessions was a strange troll. unfortunately for Diesel, despite putting in the hours (for the most part), he almost never gets the positive swings that can afford a bad day.

make fun of him for rarely (never) having big winning days, not for rarely having big losing days

You are missing the point entirely. People troll him because he is the biggest nit on the planet just so he can brag that he never loses big. Anyone can fold everything other than AA and KK and quit as soon as they lose half a buyin if their goal is to never lose big. That doesn't make them good at poker.

Never losing isn't a thing in poker, unless you play a handful of times and quit. People who claim to only win big and never lose big are lying to themselves.

Can you guys get a private room thanks

ELD is on the penultimate day and leaves Excalibur to play at Westgate. ELD take the monorail to avoid traffic. This requires ELD to leave Westgate prior to 2 am to get the monorail back South.

ELD then plans to order two items from the Midnight to 6 am menu at the Southpoint. People line up to get the specials on Weekends. ELD maximizes his Southpoint comps by using them to eat between Midnight and 6 am. A viewer walks by during ELD's monologue between the MGM and NYNY and gets a shout out.

Honestly, the Life With Troopers vlogs are pretty good. Especially if you enjoy watching two overweight people drive around and eat.

Lol! These two fat Troopers do enjoy driving around to eat. Trooper have been living on sugar, fat and junkfood for the past 12-15 years+ zero exercise routine so no surprise he is fat and in horrible shape.

You and Angle do seem to talk around eachother on this one. What Angle is saying (at least i believe so), isnt that it is a goal of its own of having big losing days regurarly. What he is saying though, is that every big winner or crusher is simply going to experience big losing days. Its just a part you cant say no to if you want to have big winrates.

You cant just choose to have big winning sessions when you run good, the other side of the deal is to cope with big losing days and its actually a healthy sign of a good crushing player if he have days where he loses multiple buyins. It just means that we go for every good +EV spot, we embrace the variance and arent scared to stackoff time and time again.

Now this is the oposite of what scared money meganits like Rice pat himself on the back for doing, hence this discussion coming up. He (and many more) deludes themself into thinking it is some batch of honour to have the tiniest of swings, and never have a losing session bigger than one single buyin during half a year of play LOL.

And last but not least: does it still makes sense in your described life situation to play relentless +EV poker and go for every spot when you dont play that often and have a limited bankroll? Maybe not. It do makes sense for you to protect your bankroll a bit, and try to curb the swings a bit in exchange for a lower winrate longterm.

But Angles main point is simply that making LOL nitty folds with second nutz over and over, and never ever having big losing sessions isnt the badge of honour you may think it is.

Trooper, zero exercise, so no surprise he is fat and in horrible shape.

In defense of Trooper, he is less fat, and less out of shape than the typical American in his age bracket.
And believe it or not, with Christina cooking home meals now, he probably eats healthier than your typical American.
I was in a high end casino a couple of days ago, and I was stunned how many men at the 3 open craps tables were obviously fatter than me. I seriously wondered how the heck some of them were alive.
And I had a terrible craps session, never got it going.
My Craps winning streak I was on is officially over.

That may be true, the stats in the USA regarding fat and obese people is just off the charts sky high. I believe the numbers is something like 1 out of 4 american is obese,or like 25 percent overweight.

I would still consider both the Troopers fat and totally out of shape. Trooper look like he havent been to a gym his whole life, skinny fat with zero visible muscles.

You're a rec player having fun. You understandably don't like the pain of losing. Yes you want to win. I'm sure the extra money is nice but at the end of the day it's not your bread and butter. Believe me I wish my hobbies made me money instead of costing me money.
It's fine for a rec player to limit his downswings at the expense of a little long term profit.

He's claiming to be a pro. He's struggling to beat low stakes nl after a decade for a double digit hourly and a big part of why is he's so ****ing tight.
Yes you're right your goal is to win as a pro and that means maximizing winnings not minimizing them. He's so scared of swings he plays to minimize them which massively limits any possible winnings long term.
Sure in an ideal world I'd never lose or have bad downswings but variance and how you handle it is a big part of the game. Limiting losses isn't the brag he thinks it is.

If someone can't handle swings they aren't cut out to be a pro. It's that simple. And frankly most people are just naturally risk averse. There's nothing wrong with that unless in general but gambling for a living and being super risk averse leave you homeless eating pocket bread.

Don't look at any of the comments before watching.
This Brettski video is degen.
You can jump towards the end if you want, you'll still get the picture.

Yes. You and Borg both said it better than me!

When someone makes a point of bragging that they never have big losses it's a sure red flag that they are a total nit. Or else they just play purely recreational a few hours here and there. And like Borg mentions it's a very different story for someone claiming to be a pro.

It's also funny how the people I've heard bragging about it over the years are always huge nits who think they run bad. I've never seen nitty recs brag about it. Just always small winners who think they're poker experts.

Trooper ready to bring Venetian his massive reach of 100's of people over seven years to the casino. I'm sure all those people weren't coming to Vegas without the pull of Trooper Thursday.

He also continues to brag about being the first poker vlogger when it's not even what a traditional poker vlog is. I would consider a poker vlog one that the main theme is actually playing poker and narration of hands and maybe throw in your thought process behind hands. Trooper's is a lifestyle vlog that shows he went to play poker for part of his day.

And it's gotten him what exactly? I guess to a degree it has gained him some respect. As long as you don't take into account the vloggers that make fun of him. But you think these vloggers sit around thinking about how trooper paved the way for them? LOL! Meanwhile every single vlogger mentioned has moved up in stakes, bought into card rooms, and cut big deals with various companies. Then there is trooper, 7 years later eating tin foil wrapped PB&J sandwiches on the strip after finishing up yet another losing 1/2 session. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

They are both still playing 1/2 after a decade plus. Neither is good at poker. I mean that should be obvious.

I'm just saying make fun of him for never* having big winning sessions, which is more relevant than saying "you're so bad you have expensive leaks because you never lose very much money"

*better not use never to ELD because this one time in 2017 he won a big pot AA v KK

Much like Diesel bragging about his microdick swings Trooper doesn't realize what a fail this is.

"I was first" isn't a brag when you never made much money from the vlogs, failed at poker and watched other poker vloggers make piles.

It's actually super hard to make it as a vlogger now. But he was super early and brags about fumbling the football.

At this point Trooper is probably one of the biggest day time whales in low stakes Vegas games and Diesel has solidified himself as the top sign to change tables if you are playing with him. They would be better off being bar flies compared to what they are doing now. They are below barely employable alcoholics, yikes.

Accurate. His mouth-breathing viewers don’t comprehend that Diesel is the nut low of poker vlogging and actual players to have at your table. Literally a waste of space seat taken that plays worse than a OMC rock. He barely talks and doesn’t plays any hands. Nothing fun, pleasant, or desirable about his playing style or lack of conversation. And most definitely nothing special to physically be forced to look at either. It’s actually quite amazing to me that he doesn’t drink alcohol or do any drugs (except cheap cigars) when his delusional coping in life is so extreme.

Trooper and Diesel also have 2 of the most punch-able faces in the entire vlog space. Maybe someday they can get their GPI awards in that category.

Christ. looks like he's trying to make a new brand. I guess the hard core will buy anything

Also, this venetian deal is bizarre. Joe Ingram being involved is more bizarre.

There is no way on God's green earth will you see someone, besides Trooper, wearing one of those hats.

I guess Joey just pairs up with random vloggers for MUG's at Venetian.
