assuming that's a reasonable price of $70, their cost basis x3 is $210 just for the chocolate

let's say they're able to really stretch with additives like marshmellows, peanuts, caramel, nougat etc and they get 50 pounds of candy from it

a 1 lb box of chocalate from see's goes for $30, they can probably get away with charging 2x that amount

$60 x 50 pounds of products = 3k gross

-210 chocolate

-150 other ingredient (remember we need 20 pounds of other ingredients)

so we're looking at net profit 2.5k

then there are labor, farmer's market fees, etc

if they can sell all that in a week they will probably breaking even compared to if they were working regular jobs

but something tells me they will not even make that much in a week, let alone a month or two

Lol, okay so Rice announced in his latest that he is gonna kick Vegas off with going 5 days eating strictly on comps only. No cash infusion whatsoever.

This is basically gonna be a challenge in terms of how hard is he able to starving himself. No way 2 bucks pr hour gonna keep you full for an entire day or bring you enough money to be eating 3 solid meals. But Diesel is used to going on with eating only 1 meal pr day, so i guess he is gonna hit this one out of the park.

I don’t see how these challenges are for anyone except him, trying to save money.

Nope, zero meaning for anyone else. Its so hilarious cause this spend xx amounts on food to the point that he just doesent eat the food a normal grownup person needs in a day,its just yet another coping strat trying to survive on less than minimum wage.

What would actually be interesting is a challenge where he shows how much he could eat for in 1 one week,but it has to be at least 3 healthy well put together meals pr day. (Breakfast,lunch,dinner).

What he is doing is just a challenge on how long he go on without eating really. How about doing a "challenge" where he isnt eating anything for like 3 days,then he can brag about going 3 days spending zero dollars on food? Amazing stuff.

honestly i skipped ahead looking for that because i wanted to learn what his strat was

but i was incredibly saddened to see he's going to a dinner party and his item requests are fritos and gatorade

i strongly suspected it previously that he had some sort of bad trauma while at cornell, but now i'm absolutely convinced that was the case
