Zen guru dude seems like a pretty good candidate to attract a following itt.

lol, checked it out, it's a duo selling coaching and the vlog is just an advertisement for that

here are the various coaching packages 😀

skwid, you want to go 50/50 on this one?

What if I just want spirituality and a higher purpose only on the table?

Zen guru dude seems like a pretty good candidate to attract a following itt.

yeah thread definitely found a new lolcow

rfi ATs on btn to $15 - standard open (but he specifically says it's not a standard open because it can get you into trouble - so we have confirmed he's a mega nit who will open fold ATs on the btn)

sb 3! to $35 - standard

with a solver, ATs is a pure call here but he insta folds because "she looked energized, excited, present, focused" lololololol

which ok, that's fine, if you have a good read on the person is a nit and wouldn't be doing that without dominating you then i'm definitely folding my ATs (far more likely to call with something not solver approved like 65s than ATs if we think villian just has pure nuts here

but still obviously a fold unless we're super deep and we think they'll make big mistakes post flop and stack off with just a pair

but importantly, he literally has zero reads here, it's his 3rd hand at the table and all he's seen from the villian is fold utg and see a flop on bb then fold - no reads at all here

so for him to make a non standard fold here is somewhat understandable because older ladies tend to skew towards the nittier side

but he's just an idiot because his entire reason for justifying the play is he tells her his hand that he folded and she says

which is what someone is going to say whether they had 27o or AA, lol this guy is going places 😀

it's also weird because the beginning shows him walking up and sitting down at a table, then the first footage we're shown is very clearly sitting at a different spot at a table and with different players

so either they sat down and didn't find anything good content until at a new table and then oddly lied to pretend to like the following video was the start of the session (they explicitly say 'this is the first hand i played") or they didn't film the walkup and decided "hey let's film some b-roll and edit that in" which itself is a weird decision - i think these guys will go very far in this channel 😀

He does say that he will go up to 90 minutes w/o playing a hand in order to absorb the energy of his tablemates

He is also absorbing tier credits during the 90 minutes at least.

Unfortunately at Wynn all he gets is barely more than $2 in comps.

OMG. So a brand new Vegas vlogger popped up on my recommended videos. It had Wynn 2-5 in the title so I decided to check it out and while it's a longer vlog, I ended up watching all the way through.Near the end, you'll never guess who I saw was at the table. None other than Diesel lol. Looked like he bought in for $300 and never played a hand and just blinded off some chips

El Diesel is also there from a different angle at 3:45. Different angle to look at his chips too.

The vlogger at the beginning sounds like Trooper a little bit. It’s not about the cards, it’s about “live reads.”

Except this guy is probably a better player and has a much more positive attitude, not complaining about standard bad beats and not calling his opponents morons.

But how can he be so confident that he knows how his opponents feel over and over again? Is he going to write the next great book about reading tells?

At least he is being different. Most new vloggers just copy what everyone else is doing.

he isn't a total drooler for sure, he understands the game

i'm unsure if it's for the purpose of promoting their coaching as poker gurus or if it's real

but you'll notice he is 100% sure of everything and appears portrays himself to have infallible reads - everything is of course stated after the fact

my feeling is it's all fugazi (of course it is but i mean that he is in on the grift not that he just believes he nails all his reads) and he's just showing curated tidbits because he clearly does not show the first table he played at which probably went disastrously

According to the Apostle Paul, gambling directly appeals to covetousness and greed, “which is idolatry” (Colossians 3:5). Gambling breaches the 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 10th commandments. It enthrones personal desires in place of God. Jesus warned, " You cannot serve both God and Money” (Matthew 6:24).

Did Nomad post his 2/5 results?

I believe he said he will be posting total results at the end of the 2-5 challenge. He doesn't post individual session results. Also, does 1 session matter to you? It's a meaningless stat.

I think the gambling prohibitation only applies to craps whereas low volatility slots to earn tier and $1-$2 poker for comps is a positive commandment. Further that craps players are generally untruthful and should not be able to testify against a non craps player.

i would think he's competent at least, he usually plays in the 10/20/40 with boston jimmy et al

Yeah and monkeys might fly out my butt 'I BELIEVE he said....'

Poker is way more than hands!

Meanwhile, I've been to a bunch of beach side candy shops this summer. None of em had sweaty red faced Troopers working the counter.

You can create a Higher Purpose? Sounds sorta like a Special Purpose.

Look, it's Prahlad Friedman's younger brother doing poker vlogs.

Seriouslu? Connecting with his energy? What kind of BS is this guy spewing?

Knowing what a huge nit Diesel is and how he can barely afford to play 1/3, I LOL'd when I saw him going to the Wynn for his 2/5 challenge, where most players buy in for $1500. Entirely expected him to sit down with the minimum buy-in and just wait for AA and KK.

by parisron

Rice is pulling in $64/month with his $5/month monthly newsletter. This must have some awesome info in it. lol

Hilarious that he puts "I move a lot" as his tagline, when he moves a lot because he lives in Vegas but can't afford weekend room rates.

$1.50

$1.50

Yes it’s $1.50 for every hour. I meant for the 90 minutes he played he gets between $2 and $3.

I expected that too.

I actually think it’s one of the smarter things he has done and he should be a slightly winning player nitting it up on a short stack. He will be more in his comfort zone too.

Buying in for $1500 would take him waaaay out of his comfort zone.

It is Keep Track of Everything But Wins and Losses Week.

He is saving the reporting of results until he has a statistically valid sample size. Should be out by 2031.

Nothing wrong with this. We weren't expecting him to become an aggro when he suddenly moved up.
