I don't know of any LIMB acronym and this is AI, so think will just disregard it; maybe AI got excited about the clue and shouted it?

he then clued 4 when we needed 7 which could mean top 3 of list are good if doing n-3 in AI game where we can keep guessing; could also just be 4 words

string, our top of list, was neutral, so he wasn't doing n-3...it was just 4 orbit words

everything but one word has to hit loop tho since he clued 7 clue for that

so he clued us n-1 to get round when he coulda done n-2 to get round/arm or n-3 to get round/arm/drop...but AI version is weird and people forget to do n-2, n-3, so not sure that n-1 denies 2nd on list like it always does in other games

Arm - 2nd on list so n-1 denies, but in AI version you can't do unlimited and he may have forgotten we can always guess unlimited in this version, so perhaps it doesn't deny it here. If it doesn't, arm is the quintessential limb, so a good guess. But I hate that it's 2nd on list; in normal game it's not guessable
Buffalo - they have limbs, so potentially; don't see loop or orbit tho
Casino - nah
Drop - limbs drop from trees; you drop a loop in a song; you can drop from orbit or just drop from gravity which is caused by orbits
Eye - not a limb, so prolly not
Greece - not a limb or a loop or an orbit
Himalayas - not a limb or a loop or an orbit
Knife - use to cut down limbs; hang from a loop? meh
Maple - they have limbs; not a loop or orbit, so this would have to be the non-loop 8th word? or just because you tie a rope in a loop around a tree?

Spine - doesn't really hit loop or orbit or limb
Superhero - can make a case for anything with this word; can hit all 3
Thumb - part of a limb, and there are thumb loops, so not horrible

if round/arm/thumb are ours, he could have done yarn - 0 and we get the other 3

but then we'd have had 5 and needed maple/trunk/drop/telescope so can't really hope to win on turn 3

so he figured he needed to do a normal clue to add telescope and hopefully some of the other words in there if we were gonna win in 3

so it makes sense what happened, whether arm is ours or not

If AI clued limb and arm isn’t ours I’m quitting this game.

well if he told ai which words to clue for and didn't include arm on the list because thought we wouldn't guess it, then ai would clue limb for the other words

by guessing arm we are saying we don't trust him to clue n-2 here, and I don't like guessing something that is saying I don't trust the spymaster

in this case, it's easy to forget that we get to guess unlimited even tho you can't clue unlimited so I'm probably ok with arm; he couldn't unlimited clue us for it and he very well may have forgotten about this one rule for this one game out of 5 variants that we are playing simultaneously

if that's the case, do you like maple/trunk/drop/thumb for limb (and loop) also? or are there other words you like better?

I can't think of any, though it's possible

Arm or superhero?

I get the n-1 concern. I could make a case for either word hitting these clues. And literally no word on the board hits LIMB better than arm (but again, I get the hesitance).

It’s like if snow was the clue and penguin was on the board but it shouldn’t be guessed because it’s 2nd on the list. Made up scenario that’s obv never happened, but still.

In a typical game arm is removed from the consideration list before even looking at the clue bc he didn’t do unlimited but chose n-1 instead

In this game, he can’t do unlimited but he coulda done n-2 or n-3 but only if he remembered the rules

In a normal game id say no way bc he denied it, but in an AI game with weird rules while he’s playing 4 other games without this rule, I can prolly be ok guessing it, but it’s still not trusting spymaster to guess arm

We haven’t guessed round yet so can get that out of the way
