Wrestling- NVG (SPOILERS inside view at your own risk)
Figured we can have a thread to talk about upcoming storyline returns and tv tapings
According to the title, this is the greatest wrestling promo ever.
It seems to be from the WWA territory (Indiana).
RIP Kevin Sullivan. I always thought his double stomp was one of the all-time bad finishers in wrestling history, but I nonetheless did appreciate his contributions overall. Always seemed like a pretty cool guy in shoot interviews.
Had no idea he passed :(. He was great. Iirc, he did invent the hanging tree of woe to run his knee into the midsection which is infinitely better than the double footstomp and still used in many variations today. RIP Kevin Sullivan
Somehow he had at least a couple of very memorable matches. vs. Benoit at GAB 96 and w/Foley vs. The Nasties at Slamboree 94.
He seemed in really poor health in the recent WCW documentary. Bummer.
Sullivan's look in the 70's (top picture) may surprise some people.
I've seen recent pictures of him on social media where he was using oxygen and I think they may have been asking for help with his medical bills. One of the better minds to ever grace the business IMO and a great interview when I've seen or heard him speak post-career.
Afa (8/16) and Sika (6/25) both passed away within less than two months of each other. What a rough summer for the family.
Sid Eudy/Visious/Psycho Sid/Justice passed away at 63.
:( RIP Sid. One of my very favorites from my childhood. Always loved his mid-90's WCW theme:
He also had one of my favorite moments in wrestling. Sadly not streaming anywhere but the network. At Slamboree 1993, he was announced as Col. Parker's new charge and came out to squash Van Hammer in 30 seconds.
Mongo died #FuckALS
Definitely bummed they got rid of strowman again. His backstage ‘im not finished yet’ beatdown of Roman was an all timer
Shinske definitely wasn’t ever gonna find his footing in the h era, but still a bummer there too
There always seemed to be something holding him back.
I was actually much more surprised at some of the women.
Sabu has gone to the place he's been pointing at his whole career. 60 years old.
He was just on the Legion of Skanks podcast this week. He seemed like his "normal" self based on everything I've seen or heard about him outside of the ring.
Once in the early 90s in a WWF dark match.

I had never heard of him and had never seen anything like it.
I still remember thinking, "who is this guy and why isn't he more famous?"
Man that’s a bummer. Always wanted him to be bigger than he was, chaotic as hell but entertaining as ****. Plus epic entrance
AEW waxing poetic on his hardcore career in the RIP post probably going to be a bad look in hindsight if I had to guess
