Review the Last Game You Finished
Title is self-explanatory. Feel free to just "rate" if you don't want to review.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (PS3) - 9.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
If you have a positive mental attitude towards video games (ie you like them), if you like sci-fi, if you like past Metroid games, and if you like beautiful graphics.... well I'm only in the beginning areas of the game but so far it is a masterpiece.
I think a reason the Metacritic score is low is because a lot of people love to hate games.
Tears of the Kingdom is gaming perfection. If you like Zelda. On the Switch 2, docked, it's so good. I would give it as high of a rating as Ocarina of Time. Not the impact of OOT, but it's amazing. Wind Waker, OOT, and TOTK. As my top 3. It's so much better than Breath of the Wild.
Oot was best game I ever played. I wish they're was a oot 2.
Dredge (2023, PC [Steamdeck])
A charming survival/horror game set against the backdrop of a little fishing boat in a sleepy set of islands with mysterious underbellies.
The mechanics are pretty simple, driving a boat around and accomplishing quests and fishing up whatever you can. Story takes you across different islands with new unlocks, enhancements for your boat, your fishing reels, nets, crabpots, engines, etc. As with any game like this the inventory system is purposefully limiting at times which is a bit frustrating but once you get the cycle of it it's pretty simple.
Great atmosphere in the game, does a good job of enhancing the horror element with the unknowns of the deep sea and the panic meter. Lots of little easter eggs and things to discover.
I got about 12 hours out of this to complete the story, but could probably double that if you wanted to go do the DLC and explore every page of the encyclopedia of fish. Would sink more into it if I didn't have other games to try out.
7.5/10
Yeah, for what these kinds of games are, I'd agree that 25-30 is probably too much. Usually grab them on a good Steam sale and it's worth it.
Expedition 33
It's rare that a game lives up to the hype, but this one definitely did for me.
10/10
Control
The story lost me a bit, and I found myself spacing out at a times, but the gameplay and graphics were both fantastic. The different abilities were also a lot of fun. They give you a lot of different power ups. Many of which are repetitive and you can only carry so many at a time before you have to dismantle some to make room for more. It just leads to a lot of unnecessary menu management.
8.5/10
The best part of the game, and easily a top 5 gaming moment ever for me.
