I've Hit a Plateau in My Studying, What Should I Focus on Next to Keep Improving?
Right now, I’m focused on:
-Playing a solid TAG base strategy and tightening up preflop ranges.
-Betting with range advantage and nut advantage
-Check-raising draws OOP instead of just calling passively.
-Calling with correct pot odds and folding when I'm clearly beat, working on the math and discipline behind bluff catching.
Using PokerTracker 4 to track sessions, review hands, so I can improve faster
Adjusting based on player types, especially exploiting stations and fit-or-fold regs.
I’ve been drilling these spots regularly and reviewing hands, but I know I still need to:
Improve my ability to narrow ranges based on action and player tendencies.
Make better turn and river decisions, especially in tough spots with marginal hands.
Increase my volume as I've only been playing for 3 months.
I treat poker like a sport, I study Monday through Saturday, track progress, and welcome brutally honest feedback. My ultimate goal is to turn this into a long-term, profitable career by first beating 1/3 live at my local casino, then moving up from there.
