VR passed away this afternoon at a hospital in Kansas City from naturalish causes. She had been on a ventilator and chose not to receive a tracheostomy.
She was a really good person. I lived with her for about year in 2021-2022. Obviously I've known her on here since I first played WW which would have been 2006, so 20 years now. We became close during the pandemic-time-werewolf revival and it worked out for me to move to KC at that particular point in my life.
She was with her dad and step mom today, and visited by college friends. Her dad said she was in good spirits and fully cognizant of her decision.
Amanda was a super talented writer. She did science fiction and fan fiction and some of it she self published.. I'll find some and post a link. I used to edit her and fanagle over word choice and comma usage with her which is I'll I'm good for in creative writing but it was fun. She was also a really good cook.
She loved her cat very much. Honestly it's hard for me to think of someone with a bigger heart than her. Not much more I can say.

She was genuinely a wonderful human being. Someone i used to speak to outside of pog and genuinely cared about and I'm heartbroken to hear this news. Thank you Dustin for letting me know, Rest in peace Amanda

I hope you can find some peace and joy in how lucky you are to have had her in your life.
I also firmly believe that people we love are always with us. they change who we are, and those changes are a part of them we will always carry with us.
I didn't know her well, but I love the joy she had, and she shared with us with her food pics. and I love the little filthy poker school we had on discord for a minute.
and I love the story when the ambulance guys had to come and break into her home to rescue her, and she was nude! lmfao!
I respect her decision. I'm very grateful to have shared a little bit of life with her.
next time I eat, I will do a little food toast to our beloved VR

Yesterday was the shock. Today it's hitting and I can cry. I couldn't yesterday.
We talked or texted practically every day. I have to call or at least text back her dad. I also have to figure out how I'm getting her cat to Phoenix. It was always the plan that if anything happened to her I would take care of her cat. When I asked her dad yesterday he said Amanda had said that and he assumed it wasn't serious and they were going to put her up for adoption. I told him it was serious. Her cat is 14 but she can have some good years left hopefully and she knows me at least or at least used to.
I'm thankful for the fact that she was part of this community and that she was able to touch the lives of the people here.
I also wish I could have been there more for her.
Condolences to her family and everyone else that knew her well.
Always sad when someone passes away. Even more so when they're young. Feel especially for her parents.

VR has been here since the early days and I always had a good time with her on here. She was funny and smart and had a big heart.

I can only think of fond interactions I had with her and those were mostly in passing, dvcs, and a few ww games. She'll be missed. Condolences to her family and those who knew her well.
Thank you for sharing. She seemed like a great person, and I wish I had known her better. Her vegan meal pics are an inspiration, and writing sci fi is badass.
Almost impossible to accept the news. In many ways, she was the best part of POG. RIP.
