Come on in! Since Dustin is taking his ball and going home, it's time to start a new politics thread.
sometimes it just hits me how insane it is that we have Donald Trump as president. twice. at least. and he is almost universally supported, in a way.
yes people hate him. and yes the Democrats say they oppose him. but they openly collude with the republican party! and they even supported his first primary! and on big things, like corporate power, genocide, inequality, destroying the planet... Dems and repubs are hand in hand.
and almost everyone(in USA) supports the Dems or repubs.. so support trump
do Dems openly collude with Republicans? absolutely yes. Dems would rather have trump in office than a socialist. they'd probably rather have trump than Bernie Sanders!
Dems want corporate rule. they want empire. Dems support the machine. trump is the machine.
or maybe you're taking issues with the "almost everyone supports Dems or repubs" which is fair. I think most people hate politicians, and hate the parties. but they still vote for them. or at least don't support revolution, or even voting for third parties.. which is necessary to oppose Dems/repub govt
Dems literally supported trump's campaign! they support his wars. they support his party.
I mean the man has basically openly raped kids! literally just lost a rape case in court. broke how many laws? literally committing genocide(which Dems also support) and Dems STILL support their Republican partners in keeping power... and still let trump not only stay a free man, but stay president of the United states

Dems could break their partnership with the repulicans. say "this man is committing genocide" or "this man raped kids with Jeff Epstein" or "this man raped jean Carrol" or a zillion other things.
no more collusion to keep out third parties. no more partnerships with corporations who support republicans who support trump.
spit in his face when they see him. citizen's arrest. protest at the white house with every dem. go on strike til he's arrested. ask their constituents to strike.
that's just off the top of my head. I haven't given it much thought cuz it'll never happen. Dems support trump. their opposition to trump is performative and limited.
and the Dems supported the same wars when they weren't trump's wars. I mean I guess they oppose the Iran war, but only somewhat.
Dems have been supporting genocide in Palestine for coming up on a century now. and they were all in on bombing everywhere on the planet when Obama was doing it
all Dems openly and enthusiastically support the troops/war ciminals. the troops/war criminals obey trump.
