Ukraine-Russia War Take 2
Here is what the preliminary take on the Ukraine thread disappearing is:
The site was hit with a massive spam attack wher
What’s that have to do with increased nuke risk?
Because Russia is likely to invade again (and not just Ukraine), which means that there's more opportunity for nukes to be used. Currently nukes wouldn't accomplish a whole lot, but in the future that might not be the case. As USA becomes increasingly occupied with China the consequences for Russia using a nuke could be drastically reduced too.
Ya I think it’s more likely Putin nukes a Ukrainian city if Ukraine starts ****ing up domestic Russian targets.
Putin says ok I’m done fighting versus the superior western technology, time to use a tactical nuke.
Ukraine is already allowed to hit inside of Russia. The question now is how far are they allowed to hit.
I still don't see what Putin accomplishes by using a tactical nuke right now. What do you think it accomplishes?
Well it would probably end the war one way or another. Either western or Ukraine support for the war would end. Is the us gonna give Ukraine a tactically nuke for retaliation or to keep Ukraine in the war? I think if things got worse for him he would call our bluff too.
That being said I think he would only use them if loss was inevitable so calling his bluff is probably fine
It would not end the war. It would serve little purpose at this moment.
Ukraine would not need tactical nukes for retaliation, tactical nukes are considered obsolete to NATO militaries.
A convincing argument.
Israel has nukes. None of its enemies do. And Israel's enemies are much more aggressive and belligerent against Israel than Ukraine is towards Russia. Should Israel start using tactical nukes to end its wars?
It is interesting how with Russia the Overton window of aggression is shifted so far that talking about (but thankfully not using) nuclear weapons is normalized; where for any other nation it would seem wildly inappropriate.
Nobody is talking about what should happen
BGP, I made two arguments , you may have missed them
#1, you don’t quantify/ understand risk well/ a medium amount
#2, Russia will get tired of losing to superior western technology and will nuke a small
Ukrainian target as payback/escalation and a way to get what they want
Odd that you don’t find ending the war to be a benefit
Russia isnt losing and this war has shown that Western tech is not better.
Clear military advantage can isn't the real threat. If Putin (or Un or ...) feel their personal survival is at risk then who knows what they might do.
Or maybe they do it becaue they think there is a military advantage. They dont have to be being remotely correct/reasonable. Maybe they care about the potential horror for their own country as well as others but then again maybe they dont give a ****.
Maybe they just get angry and the wire that holds the cork gives way.
PW, thanks for finally answering this:

I understand risk far better than you. Putin is not going to risk firing a nuke for payback. Can you explain how him firing a nuke will get him what he wants?
LOL
checking in for day 875 of the 3 day special operation
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...
mortgage rates about to double overnight, probably nbd, economy doing better than ever etc
Day 875 of 3 day SMO: Russia's modern equipment destroyed; speed running through soviet stockpiles; doing assaults with motorcycles, golf carts and electric scooters. All of this to outdated American equipment scheduled for decommission.
thats what you guys have been saying since the start of the war. meanwhile Russia keeps taking land and degrading the Ukrainian forces.
How you can look at this conflict and determine that "Western tech is not better" is beyond me.
Explain how Russia isn't losing this war.
And no, I haven't been saying this since the start of the war...
He's been right about a ton, if you fail to recognize that then it says more about your biases. He is correct in this video as well.
Convenient.
You can't explain anything, so you won't. You're just a broken record at this stage.
Im sure ganstaman will be along any minute now to say that its against the rules to believe Ukraine is losing

What is this? Why is this allowed to continue? We've got baseless statements with no attempt to back them up, two personal attacks, complaining about a youtuber he doesn't like (some "goofy foreign guy"), and then complaining about mods.
Completely worthless posts which add nothing.
I think Russia is winning and I think that guy is wrong. Is that bannable? Maybe.
Russia nukes a city
Ukrainians lose the will to fight
War ends
That’s called a risk
Do you understand that this is a risk?
