There are a lot of memes about certain people having sex with goats, but they don’t get posted in here.
My guess is Israel is a developed country and has some system in place for victims to report crimes and those who perpetrate them to be punished. In most of the other ME countries, being a pedophile isn’t really a reportable crime.

Actually, as really shouldn't be surprising, the places where people **** goats also tend to be the ones that rape little kids. During the Afghanistan occupation, this was a major cause of mental distress among American troops, seeing the kind of stuff that went on. It was especially hard when the troops were told to act respectful and differential to local chieftains who regularly engaged in such activity.
Parts of North Africa are also well known as places where men from around the world can go to solicit young boy prostitutes.

I'll be honest, I didn't know Bukele was rated THAT highly by his people. I knew he was well-liked, but damn. Anyway, he sucks (and shockingly, his crypto bullshit largely failed), although I'd take him over Milei, Trump, and others.

As for Bukele, ideally I'd be against the very authoritarian tactics that are currently being deployed in El Salvador and if El Salvador didn't have such extraordinary levels of serious crime and the gangs weren't so entrenched in society, I'd unequivocally condemn it. But within context, sometimes- much as it pains me to say it- you need such a response. I'd have said the same re Colombia at the height of the Medellin and Cali cartels.
In Ciudad Juarez, there were actually fake modelling schools set up, purely to create a portfolio of women, that would then disappear. Only ones who had that kinda cash to set up such fake schools were the cartels. El Chapo stated he personally murdered between two and three thousand people. You had migrants being abducted en masse off buses and made to fight each other to the death, before being buried in mass graves, apparently for the cartels' amusement. The women migrants were raped and murdered.
These particular type of criminals are about as close to true evil as you're ever gonna get. They have the financial means to actually usurp a state.
I really don't think Sheinbaum's approach will work. Bukele's approach- again against such a backdrop- does seem to be working, so far. And that doesn't mean I happen to think the guy is a saviour or anything like it and personally I'd be wary of his ultimate intentions.

Iran social media is already downplaying the incident, saying the nuclear sites are all intact. Who knows, maybe they are? Either way, the playbook by the regime seems to be to just downplay the incident.
I am guessing Iran will probably try some mostly symbolic action they can claim victory, like a successful ballistic missile attack that kills some Israeli civilians, and then Israel and Iran will agree on some sort of detente.
