$580 to $25k BR Challenge: 12.9.25 PRIMARILY CASH
Hello!
As a long time 2+2 member who is just reconnecting with the website, I wanted to start a new thread to help keep me focused going forward in 2026 and beyond. I just cashed out a massive chunk of my bankroll for holiday expenses and left myself with about $580 left in my Pokerstars MI account. My goal is to turn that into $20k. No timeline, no expectation, just an overall end goal at which point I will rethink this thread and move accordingly.
I will be posting hands that I think are interesting hands, big wins, big losses, massive punts, etc. I will try and post graphs for those interested and my overall thought process. I'll be primarily playing cash games with an aggressive bankroll management strategy. I'll be starting at $30nl and moving up to $50nl when I have roughly 15 buy ins. From there, I'll shot take $100nl with 20 buy ins and most likely $200nl at 25 buy ins.
I'll also mix in the occasional MTT, but I try to keep those to 100 buy ins or more.
I'm a married father of two so grinding is usually done in the later evenings, but I also work from home so I am able to get quite a few hands in during the day as well. That also means I cash out a bit for odds and ends expenses, but I'll disclose those as well.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy the read and follow. Again, I'm doing this simply to keep myself accountable and hopefully provide a small amount of inspiration to anyone getting into the game. If you ask the regs in the pool, I'm sure they'll all tell you I'm a regfish who's a losing player overall.
I guess we'll see.
