Road to 1K NL

Hello community,
I'm a 25-year-old poker player from Argentina. I live with my grandma, four dogs, two cats, and one sheep (for now). I started playing online poker in July 2021, during the late stages of the pandemic. I began at NL2 and slowly moved up to NL10 by March 2022.

I played MTTs from August 2022 to September 2023, reaching a peak average buy-in (ABI) of around $20. However, due to the lifestyle and scheduling demands of the MTT grind, I eventually made the decision to return to cash games.

Currently, I'm playing NL200, after playing 50NL for a year and then running in god mode over 60k hands at my shot to NL100, I felt confident enough to take a shot at 200—not only because of my results, but also thanks to the support of my mentor and friend, another high-stakes Argentinian player I met in October 2024.

He's a brilliant, smart, and confident guy who had a huge impact on my overall mindset, expectations, and goals in poker. In around two to three months, he helped me shift from a somewhat conformist state of mind to a much hungrier, more focused, and confident one. Not mentioning notorious changes regarding poker strategy approaches, tricks and reads in general.

My current goal is to keep playing solid at NL200 until I reach around $15k–$16k (currently at $11k), and then start taking modest, mixed shots at NL400–500, focusing only on the best possible tables.
Once I achieve that and build up at least 40–50 buy-ins for NL500, my aim is to move toward playing an average blind of $3–$4, and eventually establish myself at NL400–600 leaving NL200 behind.
