This included things like reviewing manuscripts (and I rejected fAar more manuscripts than we actually published), providing authors with detailed comments, editing, typesetting, proofreading, cover design, spending numerous hours doing press checks (and a lot of this was done in California), book packing, shipping books out, etc.
Sounds like quite the endeavour. It's very tempting to believe you, but unfortunately, you failed to do all these things for the book you yourself wrote:
Mason has to the person most responsible for 2+2's success. 2+2 Books probably have various problems now, with self publishing on Amazon, and competition from videos and solvers. However, he obviously did a great job of selecting the books and editing and reformatting them. Just comparing Skansky's writing in his threatening letter to that of his 2+2 books indicates the kind of work Mason did. He must have also done something to make these forums a huge success.
