There’s a push to have peer to peer or player banked blackjack illegal in California. If this goes through, it would have a profound impact on poker in the state. The article below explains the situation well:

Many card rooms would either have to close or become exclusively poker based. I’m guessing closing would be the most likely outcome and this would be very detrimental to poker in California. Unless all the blackjack regulars decide to focus on poker, but that seems unlikely.
