Once again, the top 100 winners is full of still active players, and in HS they mostly play each other. How are they all table selecting versus each other?? The biggest HS crushers dont table select much yet they win. And without any bans.

If you claim tables die as soon as the fish quits... That is predatory behaviour and I do applaud sites for taking a stance against this.

I jump in every now and then in these games and he’s right, tables die as soon as rec bust like every other sites, sometimes regs play for like an extra orbit or 2 but thats it, some have played me HU for 5 minutes too before leaving

Yet i saw 13 full running 500 & 2k nl tables running without fish so not everyone leaves and rec busts.
It also isnt really the subject of this thread since its about banning winners who dont break ToS. But lets say indeed tables are all dying as soon as rec busts... Then I would say its fine of GG to try to combat that behaviour, so are GG warning and banning all these players that leave start & leave directly with the fish? If we get too predatory fish will notice.

Of course there are other causes for game changes as well but before bumhunting really was a thing and before seating scripts the poker ecology was a lot healthier and more fun for recs. No harm done in trying to get back to that feeling, even its just a little bit.

Its hard to say what the actual rake is in 5-6card due to all the bs, but way higher than 7bb imo.

But thats the core issue, play unbeatable rake vs regs or bumhunt lolz.

Sounds like they're kicking off bad customers. If you win but aren't a pure bum hunter you can stay. You at least have value to the site. If you lose but bum hunt who cares. If you only bum hunt, and you win obviously you're a pretty worthless customer.

Now I'm just going off of what people in this thread are saying so if that's not what's going on then it's a different story.

I've never played on GG. But I long ago said on 2p2 that 2 different players can show the exact same amount of rake paid in a month while having 2 totally different values as a customer. If one guy is a super bum hunter all he's doing is taking up a seat that someone else would take anyway. He isn't actually generating one extra nickel in rake for the site. The other guy starts games, plays in not great lineups etc is actually generating rake for the site.

Anyway, you can stretch the argument that every reg is just blocking fish seat on the table.

I play plo & plo5. The rake is high, for 6max it is at least 10bb/100 and the BBJ 4-5bb/100.

You get pretty decent cashback, so you end at probably 7-8bb net rake, which is higher than most competitors.

I think GG is not banning people who table select, but people who are avoiding every lineup, where there is a possibility, that they are loosing. I‘m actually fine with this and this is probably the reason, why it is easy to get a seat with a rec compared to other sits.

@slugant: there are hardly ever tables, where very decent players try to battle. They are table selecting, you just don‘t see it.

Agree, except on decent cashback part. Pvi 0.1 and you get 10% back...

I dont think I've seen a PVI that low. I calculated mine and it was around 0.25 which is near the low end I believe.
And I shouldnt say this because im obviously getting paid by GG, but the invisible PVI slashing advertised rakeback% is the most shady and despicable trick at GG and for me a reason not to keep grinding much volume there. Also, the rake is too high and I hate preflop rake.
In comparison to that shadyness I think a bit vague anti-bumhunting policy isnt much of a big deal.

Most rakeback players also actually lose pre-rb, which means their PVI is a lot higher and they also rely on winning leaderboards. But for those who dont mass-table and win its a messed up thing.

Only because you dont win enough. Get good and get lower pvi and easier warnings.
