Think I see what the problem is. Slim posted the entire URL of a playlist, of which Teenage Fanclub - The Concept is song number 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er_J...&...). I'm surprised that worked at all, but the youtube algorithm seems to be choosing "related songs" to show each user.
I highly recommend you post just the video ID, which is the part after "V=" and before any "&" if applicable, when embedding youtube vids.

GG - how has your life changed at all since cutting back your work hours? Is all that extra time spent playing low steaks?
Glad I could inadvertently troll you clowns for the last few days. Kinda makes me feel alive
Keeping the Scottish theme for my Saxon brother FeelTard with today's entry. Doubt this is on the GG iPod tho

Absolutely not playing more LLSNL. Being injury-ridden in 2024 and with poker being the only activity I could really do, I upped my poker sessions from once a week to two, but halved my session lengths, so still getting in about the same number of hours which is appropriate for my life balance (with the extra bonus of now getting home for dinner instead of bedtime).
The reduced work hours are awesome for my overall lifestyle. Instead of getting home at 4:00pm (which I realize is still pretty early for most) after a full day of work, I now get home at 1:00pm after a much shorter day of work. So just so many more hours left in my day to do what I want, plus having the energy to do it. Attacking a lot more puttering projects during the week rather than having them pile up for the weekend. Can make those earlier tee times. Not as rushed to fit everything in for the day. And can also simply goof off more if I choose. Would highly recommend for anyone attempting to transition from full time to zero time, and that's the position I'll likely be in for the next few years, and I'll just see how it goes financially.

Am I wrong or are most Mogwai tunes instrumentals? Don't hate them, just couldn't get into them from what I heard largely based on I mostly need a lyric or two to keep me interested.

That did the trick, GG. As I assume did ManastaR's since deleted tests, if they were supposed to show Willey Nelson singing Ghost Riders in the Sky and Miley Cyrus Backyard Session. IDK how to dig into the embedded code of deleted posts, so not sure.
When Parker & Stone took over Casa Bonita, they hired a real chef. Wanted to remake the place nito something people came for the food, not the show.
Do not know if they've been successful.
when i was there a few months ago they had lines going around the block
I was there a year ago. the food is much better, but it's nothing special. Like a high-mid tier neighborhood mexican restaurant. It's served from a hot line, cafeteria style, which is a little off-putting I guess.
The food in the old days was exceptionally bad. Like, intentionally bad.
The operation is very impressive, though, there were probably >150 staff on the floor including the performers.

I don't think it was intentionally bad when they opened. Ground beef with some chili powder in it was spicy exotic authentic Mexican food in the suburbs of the middle of USA#1 in the 70s when that place opened. Definitely no attempt to evolve the menu in the decades since up until bankruptcy, though, afaict.
Meet up in 26? I think I’ll head over there next year for a week lish around Senior’s events Haven’t played much poker due to being a ft single parent these days and wanting to make sure my kids are ok post separation etc but by next year I should have two away in college and my youngest will be able to do 1 week on/off with my ex if she can sort her **** out and I’ll have a bi
Just bring the young buck and set him loose in Vegas.
Skip just needs someone to hold his wallet
I evolved (devolved?) to a manpurse last year when I couldn't operate my hand. Won't be going back to the wallet, the manpurse is so much more convenient, imo.

Glad the semi-retired life is going well! Ramping down work hours seems like a good idea in many cases to ease into retirement compared to going from a full work schedule to not working at all.
