To add to what I said before, I think nits could still win at a similar rate to before if they play in the games with a $500 max. Having significantly bigger stacks is a huge deal when you’re in games that sometimes have around 2-3 horrible players.
Another thing they could do is play the 1-3 at Venetian which has the double board PLO bomb pots every half hour. A lot of the players are horrible at that game and the inexperienced ones are completely clueless.
Also, Bellagio games occasionally have double board hold’em pots now.
Anyone that plays in the bomb pots looks way less nitty.
However, you might argue that the nittiest of nits won’t be willing to do those things. You would probably be right.
The times I've seen Trooper's game, he looked like he was trying to play 2/5 or 5/10 in a 1/2 game. Too much bluffing and too much convinced that opponent is bluffing.

What i am saying isnt that nits cant win sometimes,or even doing well in some games. I am saying that being the biggest nit in every way possible to ever play live NL isnt doable for a good winrate over time in todays games.
Rice look like a homeless,looks like he havent bought new clothes in 10 years,doesent straddle,refuse to play bomb pots,isnt able to carry a conversation at any meaningfull level,starts to cry whenever he loses $50,it eats at him whenever he has to tip $1 and i could go on and on.
You just cant do ALL these things and expect to win at a decent clip,you have to participate in your own rescue to put it that way.Like i said even the biggest fish eventually learn to stop calling big bets against super nitty players that havent tabled anything but the nutz for the past 3 years of playing.
If we could make Rice play 1000 hours in Las Vegas 1/3 over the next 6-8 months,i would bet he woudnt end up in profit- if he even would be able to finish the 1000 hours. If he would hit a nasty 300 hour breakeven stretch or like a 250 hour losing stretch that would destroy him completely and he would not be able to grind it back.
