Unfortunately no, just over a month. While I haven't had alcohol since Jan 26 '22, I have degenned recently, being Jan 20 '24. :(

Yeah, this most recent time was just out of boredom. It was dumb. I felt gross after, and I don't have the desire to do that. I want to be a poker player, not a degenerate.
Pman - Borg is right. You must keep the casino as just a place of business and no fcukin around. It super tough living in vegas cuz all your buds that come in town will want to gambool at some point and that is not good for you

Hats off to Pman for always being open and working to become a better person. We're all human and old habits die young. Vices can get the best of anyone. But to have the ability to recognize your weakness and fix it takes a ton of commitment even through setbacks. The me from 10+ years ago would have never thought that I would be content in the position in life I'm in now, but when I look at what it took to get here it was a hard lonely battle of trial and error so I respect the process.

The people with unsettled anxiety that have a hate for weed and its subproducts are the exact type of people that would get tremendous benefit from 2 hits of a nice hybrid in the morning and a 10mg gummy or 2 before bed.
Worst case scenario, you eat a 2500 calorie meal and get the best sleep of your life immediately after.
A lot of the people I've met personally like this are very miseducated about it and look at smokers with the same disdain as the guy passed out on the sidewalk off of fentanyl. Some have such misplaced anger and anxiety in social situations that would be instantly relieved by a proper terpene profile, or even some of the weaker 1:1 thc/cbd products.
Weed has probably saved millions of people from getting punched in the mouth by a complete stranger, but if it's not your thing, I can respect it.
As a smoker, I'm only against weed if the person has underlying issues or a family history or schizophrenia as that can be really dangerous for that person.

It's going to be a vicious cycle for him. The less he earns the more protective of his bankroll he becomes. The normal thing to do would be to move down in stakes if you feel you are under rolled but he can't do that as he already plays the lowest stakes possible.
All he can do is play tighter and even more risk averse. He will probably start locking up even the smallest wins or quit on days that he's losing a single buy-in. The net result is a much lower win rate and also fewer hours which will just feed the cycle further and further.
But at least he can still smugly sit there and inform us that he never loses more than a buy-in in a single day, despite running worse than anyone has ever run in poker.

Honestly he should add the off strip poker rooms as those local regs will likely have not played with Diesel much. He could get some action for a week until he's pegged as a super nit and get snap folds against him.

i've seen him at aria before. he was at the table closest to the bathroom between getting food from the burger place and going to the bathroom a few times in 3-4 hours i past by his table a lot. his chip stack never changed.
