I got an email back saying I shouldn't obtain a CR card under false pretenses so I guess i'll just need to obtain a CR card once i'm in Vegas then I can use Bravo app to register for events.

Alright so the schedule is finally out wooooo! Had a look and these are the tournaments i'll be planning on playing:

(i've booked flights home on the 10th but if I make it that far i'll just rebook obv)
Not 100% if i'll play in the Tag Team, I arrive on the 23rd and my dad might not fancy it so I may have to find someone else to play with.
Obviously if I make Day 2 of the Gladiator when I won't be able to play the Mini Main, same with Day 2 of the Deepstack and the Summer Celebration.
I'll have a look at other places like the Wynn etc see what they have on but it's unlikely i'll play in anything non WSOP as i'm going with my dad and on the days I know I will have off (27th June and 6th July) i'll be booking some sightseeing stuff.
Will just take it one day at a time, if I get knocked out on Day 1 of the Gladiator/Deepstack then I know I can jump into the Mini Main and/or Summer Celebration the next day. If I get knocked out early in these then i'll have some extra days to spare where I may play at other venues.
Anyway, LET'S GO!
Had a look at some things to do on my known days off, Mob Museum that DogFace mentioned looks good, my dad will definitely love that (especially the speakeasy and distillery part lol)
Mob Museum, Shark Reef Aquarium, David Copperfield, Cirque Du Soleil and a day trip to either Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam are currently top of my list 😀
Pinball HOF is a must hit attraction for a few hours away from the casinos.
Red Rocks (Park, not casino) or Valley of Fire if you dig the natural wonders. Closer and cheaper than the Grand Canyon.

Assuming you are renting a car? Red Rock is beautiful! Hoover Dam is pretty cool and worth the trip. Drive by Lake Mead for sure on the way. Grand Canyon is amazing, but not sure it's worth the drive for a half day.
Cirque du Soleil shows are great, but I highly recommend Absinthe. Less expensive and just so incredible. We've been twice. Might be a little uncomfortable with your dad, especially if either of you is easily offended. It's pretty raunchy and not always politically correct. We did sit through it with my MIL (I'm the wife) 😉
David Copperfield is probably great. A friend told me the mind reader / magician at Bally's is amazing, but I have not been yet.

Everything has been booked, just in the waiting stage now - 23rd June can't come quick enough!
Myself and my dad both chose 1 show and 1 tour trip thing to do, my dad chose Vegas! The Show and a helicopter tour of Vegas and I chose Penn and Teller and Hoover Dam day trip, those are all on days I know I won't be playing poker 😀

Good luck in the tourneys! I hope you go to Absinthe as your show (if you are not easily -- or not so easily -- offended).
Can I fourth that - Absinthe is amazing and cozy environment plus there is a speakeasy bar if you get there early for a drink or two!
If you like to get picked on sit upfront near stage, otherwise sit back and enjoy the show/scenery!
Slight derail to tell an Absinthe story, reminded by luckboxxed post.
When I went, I was outside waiting for seating to open. I imagine I was having a beer. Got to talking to this couple who was playing adult jenga (2x4 sections).
The conversation turned to where we were from, and they said they were from San Luis Obispo. "Wow! My niece is graduating from Cal Poly--probably right now."
Turns out, the husband was some kind of administrator at Cal Poly-SLO, from which niece was graduating. It was also this couple's anniversary, so they took a weekend in Vegas instead of going to the ceremony.
Amazing the number of times I've bumped into somebody with whom I share some weird background. All over the world.
when driving in the UK i find the trickiest bits happen when entering the road from a side lot
just remember in the states right turns are tight and left are wide
the rest will fall into place
