I woke up in the middle of choking to death again; though to be accurate, it was towards the end of the process--woke up

Always had a fairly steady income coming in. I assume there must be a bit of freelance works with the scarcity of the pokering.

Never got into debt. That was the one rule.

Serious question - How do you survive with no income?

His uncle gave him a monthly inheritance trust fund from money he made from inventing the Rubik’s cube. Not a lot but enough to support his simple existence.

Oh wait that’s the backstory for the Dude from The Big Lebowski.

I would gladly take the Dude's setup, minus the pissed-on rug. I'll have to watch that movie again; it gets better on every viewing.

Last night I met up with 2p2er rickroll at the MGM Springfield. We talked slots, walked the slots, and had an excellent time, though the pickings were customarily picked-over in that venue.

rickroll continued my unbroken streak of meeting super cool people through this blog. I have been blessed with the best readers, and my life has been enriched by you.

I'm working at the old office today through Friday, covering for the owners' time off. So, at least I'll be venturing out of my apartment for a few days. Maybe it'll get me back into the habit of going out.

I showed up an hour early to deal with any potential snags and to get a head start on some of the work, only to find almost nothing to do.

So here I am, blogging. I do prefer boredom over disaster management. This job often entails either one or the other.

If I understand it correctly, they let the deejays play what they want, so there's variance.

Late at night, they play some sponsored stuff, but it's usually from indie labels.

I love Red Red Wine and Second Hand News! 😆

That deejay spins a good mix of old and new. They played an AᗺBA deep cut while I was at work. I forgot which song.

New page! Old Man Laptop is starting to chug towards the end of 100 PPP. I might have to—gasp!—reduce to 50 ppp.

Today have to hurry up and do my exercises before work. Usually I have a dilatory amount of time to drink coffee and build up exercise gumption; hours where I can solve my daily Wordle and Dordle (Wordle but with two words), practice video poker hands, and play Solitaire on the phone, all while I grow hungrier, reminding myself that there's no breakfast until exercise is done.

This adds up to hours of leisure and putzing around. Not this morning, though. I need to shake it.

How many minutes do the exercises last for?

I remember spending hours/half the day just to build up motivation to get my arse to training during my first couple of years, but the body will eventually start clearing demanding it/craving the healthy sensations the exercises provide and then the mind will also eventually follow suit and start to genuinely enjoy it

The time actually spent stretching and moving? No more than 10-12 minutes, but that's up from 2-3 minutes when I started.

That's the thing for anyone thinking about starting a program: there's no shame in taking a little nugget of time at first to do a little something. Pick the smallest kernel of exercise you want and do it one day, then do it again the next.

was great meeting up 😀

Glad to see the meetups are still meeting and the advantages are still advantaging, young man.

for real though, we began getting in touch for simple reasons - it was much like this

but over the course of the past year he's been someone i continually pester with badbeats, pics of victories, and occasionally sharing what i think could be new info

however the majority has been an overwhelmingly lopsided exchange of information in my favor with me saying "i'm dumb help me" and sj actually helps me

even in our last meetup i learned a ton of stuff i was previously unaware of - including one thing that made me feel incredibly stupid that makes me wonder just how much ev i was punting previously before i knew of my massive blunder

10/10 would meet again next time i'm back home visiting family or if he ever decides to take his jalopy on the road to explore the much greener pastures outside of new england

i offered but he very politely pointed out the hj i was in the process of giving was more than enough

rickroll paid for dinner as well.

Bear in mind that dinner and/or a handjob are not expected for a meetup. I have my own money and my own hands.

Watching JCVD now, where Jean-Claude Van Damme plays a version of himself that's broke, losing his kid in a custody case, and caught up in a post office robbery.

Easily his best movie. In the third act he breaks character and gets a monologue that's pretty damn good.

Yeah but it’s always nice to get someone else to pick up the tab or give a tug job.

Have you watched where he also plays himself? Pretty solid stuff 😎
