Need advise for beating really tough players at live cash games
I am having issue at my local card room. I am able to beat fish, beginners, recs, and intermediate players. The issue is they seem to be not showing up no more to play on the weekends. I am left with nothing but really tough players at the tables now. I need to figure out how to beat the really tough players. Is there any books recommended for me to read to beat the really tough players. I know Applications of No-Limit Hold 'em by Matthew Janda is one of them, but are there any other you people recommend before diving into Janda book. Would Poker's 1% by Ed miller be a good start for this?

You don't; at least not to the extent you also beat the rake as well assuming by "really tough" you mean top 5%. Predators hunt and eat prey not other predators. Now if there is a prey at the table there are strategies designed to have their trying to eat the prey make them vulnerable to you.
Just leave the table. If you don't think you have an advantage, you shouldn't be playing in the first place.

You need to subscribe to GTOwizard or something similar. Not to use the exact same strategies on the table, but to develop your o way of thinking the game.
Once you understand more how the solver plays and why he does what he does, it will be easier to navigate the most common spots even against a tough opp.
I bet that none of these players are really balanced btw, you need to find the edge even if the edge is small.
But all that is almost useless if the rake is super high. In the end what is going to happen is that both you and them will be losing on the long run.
So what you really need to do is to keep table selecting, even if that will cost you volume.
