Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

Hurts, Mahomes

Hampton, Skattebo, Mondre, Tuten, Blue, Marks

CD, Tmac, Smith, Rashee, Downs, Thornton, Bryant, Coker

Bowers, Gesicki

Forgot I had Kittle and took Laporta 6 picks past ADP, first double elite te I’ve drafted I think

Purdy, Goff, Stafford

Jeanty, ETN, Davis (meant to take Ekeler - misclick), Sampson, Marks, Roschon

Puka, MHJ, Waddle, Pearsall, Downs, Doubs, Noel

Kittle, Laporta

Quite a bit of falling WR value in this one.

Lamar, Penix

Swfit, Mason, ETN, Allgeier, Shipley, Hunter

Jefferson, London, Wilson, Flowers, Pearsall, Godwin (127), Tre, Malik

Kraft, Otton

Rate this one. 1/2 PPR redraft. I'm #2. I'm gonna need to drop two players to get a K and D. Probably the QBs. Fields pick was on a disconnect, but I don't hate it.

Seems solid.

I would’ve been McBride or Lamar over Kittle

Egbuka over Diggs and any wr there over jcm

As played you only need 2 of the QBs. I’d be fields and Tlaw, but fields and stroud is completely reasonable as well

Also, I wouldn’t have drafted Chubb, would’ve drafted more upside RBs

Fields, Caleb

Saquon, JT, Breece, BRob, Gordon, Kendre

Reek, DeVonta, Odunze, Shakir, Mims, Palmer, Noel, M Wilson

J Ferg, Henry

Thanks. I'm crazy high on Diggs and Chubb. I very likely could be wrong on them.

I am surprised you like Lamar that early.

I like Diggs, I just like Egbuka more

The reports on Chubb have been so bearish that I’ve stopped drafting him. I had a ton earlier in the year on best ball in the last couple rds

I think you all would be better served just posting a team result when you have a specific question or a specific reason for it. When you just post every draft you do people are more likely to just skip over it or politely give you a like to make you feel good. When I post a team it is because I would like feedback on how I chose to construct it. I want to know if my process is correct. I provide my reasonings for certain decisions. Just spamming the forum with a team provides no benefit. Also, if you are going to respond to a team give some input. Just giving a like is meaningless and lazy. If you are posting a lot of hands you should also be responding to others who post their teams.

If you are high on a player go with it. Everybody plants their flag. Nobody really knows what is going to happen. Make sure you are monitoring information about certain players but don't believe everything you hear.

That is a bit too early for Lamar. If there are still studs on the board like McBride I'm taking them. Lamar is a nice pick in the middle of the third when the tier of RB's, WR's and Stud TE's have dried up.

Redraft is different than best ball… elite qb is pretty valuable in redraft. 10tm I would say Lamar/Mcbride are absolute lock picks there. In 12tm there’s a wider strategy that can work.

You can intentionally fall way behind at wr in redraft bc generally the rooms will be softer and you can hammer WRs for the next 7 rds comfortably and get a ton of value/upside.

Really hope Mooney and Shakir are not missing the first couple weeks

Dak, JJM, Penix

Bucky, Henderson, Breece, Shipley, Roschon, Giddens

CD, Tee, Deebo, Addison, Shakir, Mooney

Pitts, Chig, Jonnu

I can’t stop drafting Mooney on his dip. I’m sure that won’t backfire.

Haha same, I was slightly underweight so I’m trying to catch up

I’m 2x the field lol. I was about 1.5x preinjury. The fact they already released Chark is a good sign too.

One idea that I've kicked around (in redraft) is taking both elite QB and elite TE at the 2/3 turn if you have a top 3ish pick. Seems like a loser strategy tho, so I doubt I'll pull the trigger.

I would rather only do one, but it’s not crazy to go McBride and Allen/Lamar. 2 elite RBs is pretty nice to start with though. It mostly depends on who’s available

I have my 8 man league draft tonight from the 1.06. I’m hoping to start 2 of Gibbs/CMC/Henry/Jeanty then grab an elite QB + McBride at 3.06 and 4.03. We’ll see how it goes.

I'm surprised how comfortable a lot of people seem to be on punting WR in the first two rounds. I do think that WR is deeper, but I also think there is a big drop in quality from R2 to R3 WRs, so if you don't get in at least one in the first two rounds, it is problem. That's kind of how I feel about the team I posted above. The WRs are OK, but I don't love any of them.

Got a true 0 rb maybe waited a little too long on rb and will need some early season luck

Allen, Caleb, Geno

Dobbins, Skattebo, Tuten, Davis, Shipley, Keaton

CD, Jamo, DJM, Deebo, Addison, Keon, Bech

Bowers, Sanders

While WR does drop off from round 2 to 3, there are so many WRs in later rounds that I like.

Evans, Tet, Pickens, Worthy, Ridley, Rome, Hunter, Deebo, Golden, Egbuka, Burden, etc. Guys like Godwin and Aiyuk can be drafted late then put in on IR.

I feel like the opportunity cost of passing on the elite RBs is worse than elite WRs this season, given where the RB landscape currently is. Most backfields are a committee these days, and the last thing I want to be doing in managed leagues is starting RBs in committees on bad offenses. Obviously injuries will happen and some things will open up, but we aren't even certain of the way a lot of backfields will be distributed, if that occurs.

On the team you posted, I would have taken two of Tet, Pickens, Ridley, Worthy over Terry/DJM. I like Rice and he's a solid upside play given the reason his price is suppressed. The downside to Rice in managed is you won't be able to put him on IR once he's suspended.

I would have taken Egbuka, Pearsall, or Golden over Diggs, but I don't hate Diggs. Pittman is a good pick. I would have taken Aiyuk or Kirk over Chubb. Jayden Higgins is a nice upside shot. Team 7 with Burden in the 14th is insane value.

There are so many good WR picks from rounds 4-8 on that screenshot you posted. Tee and JSN at the end of the 3rd are nice too. There are also some landmines.

And then there are tons of guys not even drafted that will have nice roles and could provide good weeks.

It’s not necessarily that tier that is making us more comfortable with it

In redraft you get 5th rd WRs available in the 90s and a lot of upside rookie RBs go even later so you can more easily go rb/rb/elite qb/wrx7 and then figure it out.

Im not a dogmatic drafter though so if the board falls in a way that the wr value is so much better im just drafting wr.

Example. You have the 6th pick board goes

Saquon, Chase, Gibbs, Bijan, CMC. I’m taking CD or JJ 100% there even though I’d prefer to take rb/rb

Whoops haha basically saying the same thing

Those RBs look really rough. But like you suggest, you're a couple of torn ACLs away from a juggernaut. I think Davis probably has the most value of the group if the starter goes down.
