The big news this month is the Howard Lederer interviews. Full Tilt Poker has been a disaster that has impacted virtually everyone in the poker community whether you played poker on the site or not. So, there are a lot of questions, and now the process has begun to get answers to those questions.
The first interview appeared on PokerNews.com and the second one, which I just finished listening to, appeared on our own Two Plus Two PokerCast with our hosts Mike and Adam. If you haven't yet heard it, I recommend going to our PokerCast Forum and giving it a listen. I won't comment on it here except to say there is a lot of information, and some of it is not exactly what you would expect. It also gets better as you go along, and of course there is lots of discussion on the forums, both pro and con, concerning the interviews content, some of the actions that Howard took, and lots of other stuff.
The next item to mention is that our next book, Further Limit Hold ’em; Exploring the Model Poker Game by Philip Newall should be available in early December. The manuscript is finished and we're well into the editing and review process, so we should be able to make the December date.
Also, and this is most important, we're having a cover design contest with a $500 prize going to the winning cover plus a few possible runner up prizes. For those interested, here is the 2+2 Cover Design Contest for Further Limit Hold 'em thread. All the rules of the contest are included in the first post, and at the time of this writing, I see that we have just received our first entry.
Last, I want to return to the Lederer interviews. While Howard is obviously a very important person in this process, we're hoping that some of the other owners of Full Tilt Poker will also soon be speaking. In fact, Andy Bloch already did an interview with Diamond Flush. We at 2+2 feel that the more people who speak, the more true facts will get out there, and that's what everyone wants to hear.
