For those of you who’ll be in town on July 7, make sure to come to the Annual 2+2 Party which is being held at The Wynn Casino. Doors will open (so to speak) at 5:00 pm and the buffet is scheduled to be served at 6:00 pm. And if you do plan to make it, please let us know in the Annual 2+2 Party RSVP thread in our Las Vegas Lifestyle Forum.
We’re also going to have a special guest at the party. Republican Presidential Candidate and former governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson is planning to come and should be able to say a few words to all of us. Governor Johnson, who has already posted on our forums, is a strong supporter of our right to play poker on the Internet, and those of us at 2+2 are thrilled that he will attend.
And speaking of Governor Johnson for those of you who are interested: read about Gary Johnson’ position on issues, and donate to the campaign.
Also, at the time of this writing, the news has just broken that the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has just suspended Full Tilt’s license and the Internet poker site is currently completely shut down. Unfortunately, we at 2+2 don’t have any additional information concerning either Full Tilt or the AGCC, but the best places to learn more are most likely our very own News, Views, and Gossip Forum where there has already been a tremendous amount of discussion, and the Two Plus Two PokerCast where our hosts Mike and Adam keep up with all the latest poker news and where I’m sure this topic will be addressed in detail.
Other than that, we at 2+2 hope to see all of you at the party, and feel free to stop by where I’ll be sitting and say hello not only to me, but to all the 2+2 team that makes our website and our publishing company possible. And a special thanks to Donna Harris, Director of Poker Operations at The Wynn for having us as their guests.
