Over the last few months, it has been announced here that we will soon have the capability to download our e-books into different reader devices such as the Amazon Kindle or the Sony Reader. Well, it’s still coming and we are now in the testing stage.
Hopefully, by the time most of you read this note, everything will be working, but for reasons I don’t completely understand, it’s taking much longer than we anticipated. Also, special thinks to those moderators who are helping us test this system.
Our next book, Analytical No-Limit Hold ’em; Crushing Mid-Stakes Short-Handed Games by Thomas Bakker is at the printer. The proofs have all been approved, and we’re hoping to have books in hand by Dec. 10. However, Two Plus Two doesn’t have complete control of the printing and binding process, so it’s still possible we’ll come in a little after this date.
We also want to announce that the process of producing another new book has started. It’s called The Intelligent Poker Player, and the author, Philip Newall, is a regular on our forums. We think the book will be available in March 2011, and I’ll have more to say on it in future Publishing Notes.
In the October Publisher’s Note, it was announced that we would produce a book early next year called The Math of Hold ’em. Unfortunately, this project did not work out and if this book is published, it will not be a Two Plus Two book. We do apologize to those of you who were looking forward to seeing it.
Other than this, there’s not much else to report. So enjoy the magazine.
