Our big news this month is that the Two Plus Two Video Directory is now up and running. For those of you who don’t yet know, this means that by posting a video from an approved site such as YouTube.com, not only will the video appear on our directory, but it can also be embedded into a post on any of our forums, by any of our posters. In addition, we have created a Two Plus Two Videos Forum where discussion and suggestions for our new toy can be made, and we will certainly be listening to these.
As of this writing, we have only had the Video Directory up a few days, but it appears to be well on its way to becoming a popular feature on www.twoplustwo.com. We are now beginning the process of creating specific categories relating to the videos. So again, if there are any suggestions, please let us know.
Our next book, Analytical No-Limit Hold ’em; Crushing Mid-Stakes Short-Handed Games by Thomas Bakker, is now at our printer for what we refer to as pre-press work. Assuming everything goes as planned, we should have this book available towards the end of the month. Also, for this issue we are re-running the excerpt that we ran in the previous issue of this magazine. A few of you expressed some concern about exactly the way it was written, and everyone involved with this project, including our author, agreed that the way it was presented did cause some confusion. So here it is again in what we believe is a better form, and yes, this is the way it will appear in the book.
We are also hard at work on The Math of Hold ’em by Collin Moshman and Douglas Zaire. It’s difficult at this point in time to say exactly when this book will be available, but February, 2011 looks like a reasonable guess. I’ll try to keep everyone informed as to the progress either here in these Publisher Notes and/or through posts on the Books and Publications Forum.
Finally, we are still working on the download capability for our e-books. For reasons that I don’t completely understand, this is just taking longer than anticipated, but our digital people who are the ones doing the work assure us that all of this will be finished soon. So when this capability is finally ready, we’ll be announcing it on both the forums and on our Two Plus Two Store.
